Avra Not So Rafina
This hotel was listed as being close to the Athens airport but was actually a 30 minute drive, at 4:30 in the morning - in a speeding taxi! (50 euro) I wonder how long it would take during rush hour! The hotel is nice enough, although it looked like it had been awhile since the hallway outside our room had been cleaned. Also, the only English language channel (CNN) flickered in and out. I finally gave up. I see this as a useful hotel only if you intend to see this part of Greece (ie the battlefield at Marathon). Otherwise pay more to stay at a hotel at the airport.

Horrible experience
Small room, said convenient and 'Airport Hotel,' but had to pay for transport. Also far from airport and Athens, also Rafina shuts down Thursday afternoon/evening.

Great Location
The location is good for athens. The dining is great within walking distance. The marina is right below the hotel. Cab's are easy to get to. There is a beach with a Taverna across the street. You are far enough athens to enjoy it more. The rooms are small even by european standards. At least they are clean and neat and everything you need is in the room.

Dining is great. There is at least six taverna's within walking distance with the one across the street specializing in sea food.

Good location
Our intent was to find overnight accomodations close to the Athens airport for our brief layover, and this fit perfectly. Dinner overlooking the Aegean and a short drive back for our flight.
