Very close to Acropolis and metro. Was able to get around city and back home with ease. Room was very nice and I loved having ... slippers in the room. Conformtable bed with nice pillows. Free internet in room was great as well. Will definitely stay here again when in Athens.

We stayed in this hotel for just couple of days on the way home after spending 10-days in Santorini. We did most of our ... shopping at the Plaka, since the prices in Santorini were mostly ridiculous. The hotel is about 5-blocks to the Plaka and it's an easy walk and safe.

Our purpose for staying at this hotel was to be able to walk to the new Acropolis Museum and to easily get to the National ... Archaeological Museum by way of the Metro. Both of these goals were easily accomplished, and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this hotel.

The metro station (FIX) is close to the hotel and convenient to get to the Sea Port or the Airport (although the metro connection between the airport and the city was under construction, but the express bus to "Syntagma" was easy and then the metro from there to "Fix" was only a few minutes). BTW, allow for at least 45 minutes for the trip from the hotel to Sea Port.

Take the bus to Sunion. It is a 1.5 hr bus ride along the coast. You can catch it near Syntagma Sq., a short walk from the hotel. At Sunion, there is a lovely taverna overlooking the ocean and ruins. A 5 minute walk down the road is a beautiful beach and hotel resort. Watch the sunset from the top of the ruins- one of the most beautiful i have ever seen.

True old fashioned good customer service
100kTraveler Oct 2, 2009
I got to the hotel in the morning before the standard check-in time. The staff was very accommodating, and gave me an ... available room. When I went to the room and called them to tell them that I needed a non-smoking room, they said "sure", and had the cleaning staff clean up a non-smoking room that had just checked-out and was ready for me in less than 15 minutes! The door in the bathroom was peeling a bit from the humidity, but otherwise the room was good sized and the decor is modern, the hotel's location was only 5 minutes from the metro, and close to the acropolis. I would definitely come back to this hotel again!

Exactly what I needed
Discerning customer Aug 17, 2009
This hotel was exactly what I was looking for and was a great quality for the price. Staff was extremely friendly and ... accomodating. I arrived very early, but I was given no problem and my room ready in a matter of 5 minutes. Staff was also very helpful in providing me with directions to the sights I was interested in seeing. After a day of exploring, I arrived back to the hotel late and did not want to venture far for dinner. The restaurant was already being preped for the next morning's breakfast, but they graciously seated me and I had a lovely dinner. All of the staff were very polite and professional. My room was clean and a good size. The only complaint is that the walls are thin, so you can hear the faint sound of people talking and the T.V. from neighboring rooms. The buffet breakfast was excellent. The only major disappointment was that the rooftop bar was closed. I would definitely return to this hotel.

Clean & updated hotel
Just back from Greece Aug 10, 2009
Stayed here on our last night in Athens before heading to the airport. Within walking distance of the metro and pretty easy ... to get to even with luggage. Rooms were updated and clean and reasonably priced. Not much going on around the hotel itself, but just one stop on the train from the Acropolis station. Felt like a safe area.

This is an excellent location if you want to see the Acropolis, the Plaka and especially the new Acropolis Museum. It was a ... 10-minute walk to these great sites and a 2 minute walk to the closest metro stop. The rooms were clean and spacious. One of the best small hotels I've ever stayed while in Athens. The staff was friendly and very helpful.

Great location & view
Christi Jul 15, 2009
The location of this hotel is great for sightseeing at the Acropolis and surrounding area. Also close to the Plaka area which ... had cute restaurants for the evening. Very nice, clean rooms, not noisy at all. The rooftop bar was very nice, with a harpist playing and a gorgeous view of the Acropolis lit up at night! Enjoyed our stay!
Traveler type: Friends
We were directed towards the Plaka area when we asked for a good taverna type restaurant. It was a short 10 minute walk that was pretty safe. once there, lots of restaurant options. Daphne was by far the best and cutest location, excellent service there as well! The walk to the Acropolis was also about 10 minutes and not bad, just very hot as we were there in July!

Great Hotel
Agustin Jun 9, 2009
The hotel is fairly well located close to the Acropolis and Plaka. It was beautifully decorated, clean, serviced by capable ... and friendly stuff. Breakfast was plentiful and tasty. There's really nothing bad to say about the Callirhoe... because everything about the Callirhoe is right. That being said, I think we paid maybe a bit too much for the hotel (specially when compared to the wonderfull hotel we stayed in Mykonos).

Head for "Daphne's Restaurant" only 5 blocks away from the Hotel: great to have some drinks or eat relatively cheaply and with a great view of the Acropolis!
