Bad Internet

Arethusa is located close to Parliament, the Metro, and the Acropolis/Acropolis Museum. The staff is not very helpful. I use a cane to get around and I had to deal with my luggage by myself which was very difficult. When I asked about specific places to see, if it wasn't part of the usual spiel, they just went to what they usually say. They indicate that wi-fi is available in the rooms. I had great difficulty in connecting and also staying connected. I asked for a different room, and the following day they moved me to the first floor. It was slightly better, but I usually ended up taking my computer to the lobby. Here at least I could connect and stay connected. However, the speed is very slow and I could not upload more than two pictures onto Tumblr, and even that required an extremely long amount of time. At first I thought the problem might be with Tumblr; but when I got to my next location, I had no trouble at all. The one nice part of staying here was the view room garden where you could see the Acropolis at night. There really is no view of anything except the wall of another building from the rooms though.

Best Location - Best Cost!

The hotel is located with it's back to the MAIN street! so you both get the quiet side and you get out right into all the action. Walk 50 feet and you see the Greek Parliament right in front of you and the main street with all the action behind you, it can't get any better then this.

Not worth the money

I struggle to find something good to say about this hotel. The service at the front desk was less than pleasant, we walked into our room and discovered that the deadbolt didn't work. In addition, the beds were EXTREMELY uncomfortable. It felt like being in a movie where you're waiting in a grungy hotel "waiting for instructions" from the bad guys. The location was nice, but for the money, I expected something more. There are PLENTY of hotels around there for less that are nicer. The one good thing was the breakfast. YUM.

Convenient to dining and shopping

Very small room. Bathroom even smaller, requiring door to be closed to either sit down or use sink. Extremely convenient to Syntagma Square.
