Areos Hotel opened its doors in summer 2008, ready to accommodate travelers from all over the world who seek design and quality standards in their accommodation, as well as high quality service. Area description
Areos Hotel was actually named after its vital location next to Areos Park. It is located very close to the metro at Platia Victoria, which makes it directly accessible from either Athens International Airport or Piraeus Port. One can walk to the National Archeological Museum. Right there (on Vas. Irakliou street) you can hop on the bus no.400 Athens Sightseeing public bus line and visit main Athenian attractions like Acropolis, Plaka, the National Gallery, Benaki Museum and 16 other important destinations.
You can also visit Acropolis on your own simply by walking two blocks to 28is Octovriou (aka Patision street) and take the electric bus no.2, 4, 5 or 11. On Alexandras Avenue, you can take public transportation and visit the northern suburbs of Athens. At the same time next to Areos Park, at Platia Egyptou is the starting line for buses that will take you to the most beaches around Athens like Nea Makri, Sounio, Alamo, Raina etc.

Aeros one night

We arrived at 4.30 am during taxi strike in Athens. Front desk was very pleasant and found us a beverage even though it was late. The room was scandinavian style. Not large but simple and effective. Breakfast was average. From hotel its about 15-20 minute walk to the old part of athens. Our room was $70. Now thats a bargain. Also the staff was very helpful before we got there responding to email queries about transportation. Overall can recommend. Steve
