The brand new Acropolis Hill luxury Hotel, which opened in fall 2010 to welcome its guests in one of the most privileged locations in the Center of Athens, is nestled in the serene green area of Filopappou, offering commanding Acropolis View and contemporary luxury accommodation near the new Acropolis Museum and the historical center of Athens in Greece, 10min walk from the area of Plaka. Offering contemporary facilities and hotel rooms near Acropolis & Plaka, most of which feature Acropolis View from their private balconies, the 3 Star Hotel in Athens is the ideal choice for a relaxing stay in Filopappou, an evergreen area, called in Ancient Greece "The Hill of the Muses", for long promenades in the beautiful pedestrian ring surrounded by Nature's gifts and for sightseeing since the luxury hotel, easily accessible by metro "Sigrou-Fix", is a short walk from Plaka, Syntagma Square, Monastiraki and other places of interest in the Center of Athens. The hotel offers free breakfast to its guest.

great week in athens

Not for the faint hearted up a VERY steep hill plus lots of steps from nearest metro, sygrou fix or you can get off one stop before at the acropolis not as hilly but a longer walk. The hotel is lovely the lift only takes two people the rooms are very nice, long and thin bit of a squeeze between bed end and wall mounted tv . Breakfast good choice, swimming pool always in shadows would be nice on roof, great views from roof terrace. I emailed hotel asked for room 601-605 acropolis view as it was my wifes 60th birthday and we got it lovely.Great hotel, lovely staff great holiday but we need no hills next time.

Did not stay

We booked a stay at this hotel for two nights in June but we were notified upon arrival that the hotel was booked to capacity. We were given a choice of 3 other hotels to stay at and the hotel paid for our transportation to the new hotel. Unfortunately, we could not recoup the cost of the taxi ride to the Acropolis Hill Hotel from the airport, which took longer than expected due to the hotel being difficult to locate. We would've preferred our reservation to be honored.

Surprising elegance

This turned out to be a surprisingly elegant little hotel, given the price. Room smallish but comfortable. Very modern, handsomely designed--much nicer than other equivalently priced hotels in Athens at which I've stayed. Decent breakfast buffet. Terrific location, right under Acropolis. Staff helpful in finding hours when various sites are open (odd hours in Greece), calling taxis, etc. I'll be back.

Dining tip: Short walk from hotel

Good traditional food at Gods cafe, just south of Acropolis Museum.

Awesome location by Acropolis; Adorable Room

Based on the super-low price and booking my room at the very last minute, I had expected a hotel/room that wasn't much to be excited about. To my shock, the room was stylish, modern, clean, comfortably compact, and (perhaps best of all) had a private balcony with an amazing view of the Parthenon. It was easy to walk to some of the best sights in Athens, and close to public transportation.

Time-saving tip: Not Applicable

Print off the map location of the hotel if taking a cab or public transportation to it. The roads are tiny and intertwined in this location, and my cab driver get lost and ended up dropping me off at a different "Acropolis" area hotel, swearing we were at the correct location. I knew we weren't, but by this time, I was happy to get our of his cab.... If I'd had a map, and not just the address, it would have been easier on both of us!

Lovely little hotel, in a great location

We stayed here Dec 2011 for a week The room was of good quality and spacious, spotlessly clean, with exceptional room service. The bed was very comfy and of good quality. The staff were helpful and friendly. The breakfast was continental breakfast on a self service basis and had plenty of choice. The dining room was spacious and well presented The location of the hotel was great, just on the edge of the city, in a quiet residential location. Just a couple of minutes from the Acropolis. The view from the terrace, of both the Acropolis and the city was great. I would recommend this hotel to anyone who wants a good quality, clean and friendly hotel, in a great area of Athens, away from all the overcrowded, and noise. Thank you so much for a wonderful stay
