First impression of the outside
First impression of the outside was not great but the moment you go through the front door it shows a beautiful modern welcome. Room was a great size for our family of 4 and beautifully tidy and well decorated but it missed a bath and the shower was very weak. The pool was lovely too.

Novotel Wurzburg has no AC in the summer
Location was key. Close to everything. Because of the heat wave, the AC couldn't keep up. Our room was on the top floor (4th). Over 90 degree all night. I would not book here again especially in the summer.

The breakfast at the hotel was way too expensive. Just walk down the street and there are many cafe's.

it's ok, I suppose
The hotel was ok. When we first arrived we were placed in apartment 504, which we were told was on the third floor. 15 minutes later, we realized it was actually on the first floor through a rather scary and dirty stairwell. When we went we finally entered the room it was dark and smelled terrible. I have stayed in a lot of places in Europe, and this apartment was one of the worst I have seen. The new closet used to be the shower and you could tell this because the shower controls were still there. I have never actually changed rooms before, but this one was so bad, we told the front desk that we wanted a new room. They complied and much to their credit, they gave us a very nice room on the 4th floor with a nice bathroom and it did not smell bad. So if you stay here, make sure to avoid the scary apartments. The air conditioner was terribly insufficient, I don't think our room was less than 34 degrees at any given time and though they claim to have a parking garage on the website, they actually just share a public garage. Once this garage is filled you have to park elsewhere, which we had to do. The location is good, it is close to the major attractions in Wurzburg, and it is very walkable. The rooms were quiet and the front desk was fairly helpful, even though not everyone seemed pleased to help us. I don't know how other hotels compare in Wurzburg, since this was my first time there, but I don't think I would stay here again. I'd rather take my chances somewhere else.

Very nice location. Good site seeing. My room was next to another room separated by a door. Could here children next door.
