Relax-Wellnesshotel Stuttgart

Very clean, very quiet. The staff spoke English well. The free Internet was too slow to use. The cable tv in the rooms included an extensive list of channels, including one in English and MTV. There was no alarm clock in the room though you could book your own wake up call via the telephone. I did so, and asked the staff to book me a call as well, to ensure I wouldnt miss my early morning flight. Turns out that the staff call never came. The rooms are very small.

Small room on 4th floor with no lift. Building seems to be designed as 'apartments', but too small to work in, as the direct entrance to the street (rather than via the reception) has each room with its own bell, and the room has a door entry phone. OK for one night, but would not want to stay there for longer. We chose it for price plus access to the ring road (from the east) and for parking within the hotel area. Street on tram line.

The hotel is easy to reach by public transportation from the main train station by light rapid transit line number 9, "Wangener/Landhausstr." stop. You have to walk up Landhausstr. for about 300 yards/meters and the hotel is on your right. The "Gaisburg" stop of light rapid transit line number 4 is even closer to the hotel, but does not connect directly to the main train station. You are never more than ten minutes away from the city center by either of these transportation choices. The hotel is located amidst an older built up area. Landhausstrasse, the hotel's address does not have heavy automobile traffic, but since the light rapid transit system runs right in front of the hotel it is a bit noisy. I stayed there in April, but note that the hotel does not have air conditioning, so it may be somewhat uncomfortable in Stuttgart's summer temperatures. Staff is minimal, but friendly. I had booked a standard room. It was very small, but with a French bed. Everything was clean and the bathroom appliances up to date. (No hair dryer though). The wireless internet was a bit spotty at times but generally in working condition. Breakfast was simple but included in the price like the wireless LAN. My room did have a balcony. Overall, a very basic but sufficient accomodation. There is absolutely no glamor to this hotel as the internet pictures may suggest. There is a discount super market and some other shops (flowers, cigars etc.) in the immediate vicinity of the hotel.

Excellent rapport qualité-prix pour cet hôtel situé près d'un arrêt de tram et peu excentré. Personnel sympa, propreté irréprochable et bonne literie. Recommandé pour les petits budgets exigeants.

Sellten so wenig relaxed, wie in diesem Hotel. Zimmer und Bad extrem klein. Schmutzig - Silberfische im Bad. Sehr enger Frühstücksraum. Keine frischen Brötchen, nur aufgebacken, etc. Unfreundliches Rezeptionspersonal.
