Leonardo Hotel Nuernberg

I was traveling from the US to Nuremberg on business. It is a convenient 5 minute walk to the "old town" which includes a lot of shops and restaurants and a subway/tram/bus that will get you anywhere you need to go without driving. I had little trouble finding the hotel, but the neighborhood looks less than inviting. The accommodations were clean and small (typical for region). Even though the hotel promoted my adding breakfast to my bill, I found that the restaurant was not associated with the hotel and could not charge my room nor accept credit cards. The "amenities" in the basement included a sauna room, a pool table, a CRT-TV with a couple of chairs, and two computers with complimentary internet and printing. The biggest negative is that the location is very noisy; there are large trucks driving by at all hours of the night, sirens and other undesirable street noises. My attempts to adjust to local time zone was a huge failure as I was constantly kept awake by noise. A European traveler may have less problems with this. The biggest positive was the very friendly staff. The staff is very knowledgeable and helpful regarding finding local shops and dining.

My husband and I returned to Nurnberg with our friend to enjoy the Christmas Market. The staff at the Leonardo were very friendly and helpful. The hotel is not exactly as close to the old city as I thought. If it were summer the walk would have been no problem and enjoyable with cold weather walking was rather unpleasant. However, we bought a Mobi card and the subway was extremely convienent. Overall I would stay at the Leonardo Hotel again.

Due to "Messe" it was generally very expensive in Nuremberg at this time. Next time I will take a look for a hotel more outside because the public transport in Nuremberg is very good. The hotel was average, the TV was a flat screen (good), but the air conditioning in the bath smelled a little.

The room was clean but the building itself was dirty. The hotel appears to have full time residents live there also which makes the place fall down in the cleanliness. Very basic would rate around 2 star. Close to main centre only 20-25 min walk which was good. Have to pay for parking.

We really liked Leonardo. It's location was excellent (5 mins walk to the city walls) as were the rooms and facilties. We drove from Romania to the UK and this was the best place we stayed at and will look to use the Leonardo chain again for the return journey.

nice place just outside the city walls not far from the main train station and tram links and just off the main ring road so easy to get to and from well worth a stay

Zimmer soweit in Ordnung; unnötige Musik in den Fluren; bei Buchung eines 3-Bett-Zimmers war 3.Bett eine Zubettung (Schlafsessel), also eher ein Nobehelf und keine vernünftige Matratze; Buchung über Hotelclub war im Hotel nicht bekannt; Bad roch recht muffig

Die Buchung im Internet hat reibungslos funktioniert, das Zimmer war sauber und gut möbliert. Das Bad war nicht groß aber renoviert und sauber. Handtücher waren vorhanden. Das Hotel verfügt über einen Wellnessbereich, der jedoch nicht benutzt wurde und damit auch nicht bewertet wird.

Ruhiges gut gelegenes Hotel mit sauberer einfacher Ausstattung (keine Minibar)

Sehr freundliche und hilfsbereite Rezeptions-Mitarbeiter. Mein Zimmer in der 5. Etage war tip-top sauber, mit Flat-TV, völlig einwandfrei. Einziger Wermutstropfen: ein absolut 'stoffeliger' Barkeeper, der keine Begrüßung über seine Lippen brachte, meine Bite um eine Getränkekarte kopfschüttelnd quittierte und mich dann für die nächsten 20 Minuten ignorierte - ich habe dann die Bar verlassen. Ansonsten ein sehr angenehmer Aufenthalt, ich kan das 'Leonardo' in Nürnberg in puncto Preis/Leistung nur empfehlen.
