The Regent Hotel is a modern establishment of functional style, warm design and elegant decoration nailed in the historical heart of Munich, just in front of the Central Station, at just 5 min. by walk of the principal areas of tourist interest, as well as of the business area of the city. Stay November 2012 Hotel Regent

It's a short walk from the rail station, and near a tram stop, so location is handy. Despite being near the station our room was quiet. We walked to the Marienplatz in about 20 minutes The staff were courteous and helpful. We had a small problem with the shower over the weekend - they told us it couldn't be fixed until the Monday, but in fact it was repaired the same day. I noticed other reviews of this hotel mentioned poor wifi, but ours was fine. There's rather a good reasonably priced Persian restaurant a few doors up Seidlstrasse. We didn't avail ourselves of the hotel breakfast, which cost 16 euros - you can get a good hearty breakfast in a cafe or Konditorei in town for about 10 euros All in all this hotel was a good choice for a weekend break in Munich.

Oktoberfest

Chose this due to location near main station to surprisingly find we were oly minutes to the tents. Small but adequate singel rooms. Good breakfast

Needs updated

Great location (near main train station) but rooms were badly outdated and worn out. Furniture and carpet stained/torn. Somewhat noisy near train station, but expected. Clock radio must have been from the 1960's. Breakfast looked good, but had to leave before it was served to make flight.

Time-saving tip: Short walk from hotel

Take the Lufthansa Airlines airport bus from the train station instead of the S Bahn. It costs more, but is faster and more secure. Runs every 20 minutes all day.

Hyvä sijainti

Hyvä sijainti, edullinen. Aamupala sisältyi hintaan. Sviitti ylimmässä kerroksessa oli hieman kylmä talvella eikä lämmitys ollut riittävän tehokasta. Vähän nuhruinen, mutta siisti ja hintansa väärti. Pienellä lisähinnalla saa tilavan huoneen/ sviitin.

Lage ist einziges Plus

Erst das dritte Zimmer entsprach dem von uns gebuchten. Ein ziemlich in die Jahre gekommenes Hotel. Bäder sind eine Zumutung. Schimmel im Bereich der Badewanne, zersprungene Fliesen, ekliger Duschvorhang, abgeblätterte Farbe an der Türe.Gehören dringend renoviert. Entspricht nicht unseren Erwartungen von einem 4 Sterne Hotel.
