OKTOBERFEST
I stayed at the Leonardo Boutique Savoy Hotel Munich during the last week of Ocktoberfest. I have listed my main takeaways below. * The LOCATION was extremely convenient. It's about a 10 minute walk into the city center and two U-Bahn (subway) stops to Oktoberfest. * Great AMENITIES. The room included basics such as a blowdryer, toothbrush, toothpaste, razor, shaving cream, coffee, tea and a makeup mirror. * Bad WIFI. My only gripe is that they do not offer free WIFI. The hotel uses an outside vendor and it was pretty expensive. For my 5 night stay, WIFI alone cost me an additional $60. You can also purchase it hourly for about $8 per hour. * Rooms are small and clean. The mattresses are firm. * Staff is wonderful. I had a lot of requests and the staff was extremely accommodating.

Not a 4 star experience!
Tinest bathroom we had among 3 & 4 star hotels in Prague, Warsaw, Krakow, Budapest, and Vienna. Weird litte red spotlights were inadequate for reading in bed which was the only space to read! The decor was a little too hip for us, but then we're seniors.

Close to city center
Room was clean however it appeared small for EU std's. and lacked an adequate desk/seating area for a laptop.

Nice but small
The hotel is clean and has almost everything a hotel is supposed to have. It is also in a good location with many good restaurants within walking distance. It is close to Munich downtown. But it is called "boutique" for a reason. The room is half the size of a standard hotel room. It does not have a writing/computer desk. Shower space is tight too.

You can opt out the hotel breakfast which costs about 12EUR. There is a good breakfast place right across the street with many good choices.

Thin walls...
The room was clean, good location next to LMU, plenty of places to grab breakfast nearby. The walls were paper thin, so much so that I could hear every word coming from the room next door. Coupled with the ``night-club" feel of the place, this was a bad combo: neighbors tended to come home late and a bit tipsy, which made for a bad night's sleep. No free internet, and breakfast was not included and quite expensive.

The hotel was "ok".
Though the staff was freindly and the room was clean the rooom was extreamly SMALL. For the cost it was quite over priced. The hotel was about half the size of a Hilton studio in the US. The bathroom was so small there was literally no place to put the toilet paper. In the future i will shop around for a larger room with the same amenities

Excellent location for the price
This very good value hotel is a simple 10 minute walk from the very centre of Munich and the area around the English Garden, and about 15 minutes walk from Marienplatz. It is well served by all public transport systems. Generous breakfast buffet. Bright at night safe area.

Not too bad...
Stayed a few nights for the Oktoberfest... good location - just far enough away to stay quiet at night but close enough to walk to the Subway for the festival. Rooms are very small but clean and comfortable. Biggest disappointment was no air conditioning at all.
