in the airport
having a very nice hotel within this airport is ideal. Not a bargain, but convenience and no car parking makes up for it. As a bonus there is the AirBrau brewery and beer garden two minutes walk from the hotel and also in the airport. Great beer and local food.

Great Airport Hotel
If you have an early flight out of Munich or arrive very late (as I did), the Kempinski Airport Hotel Munich is perfectly located to meet a traveler's needs with a minimum of hassle. I walked from my arrival terminal directly to the hotel, checked in immediately and then went to dinner. The hotel restaurant was open quite late (after 10 pm) and was still serving full course dinners as well as a varied and ample buffet. In addition, I slept well and was never disturbed by any airplane noise although the hotel is situated directly in the airport. This hotel is pricey but, in my opinion, the convenience is worth the cost.

Perfect location if you're flying MUC but ridiculous
to charge 6 Euro for one hour of slowish internet. Just build it into the price instead of gouging.

perfect airport hotel
It is very conveniently located in MUC airport between terminals. Helpful friendly staff ; great sauna and turkish bath for a tired traveler. Great experience for a brief stop-over. Far away from the city for daily trips there ; takes 40 min on S-Bahn.

Perfect location, rooms could be nicer
Great location if you have a one night layover in Munich and you do not want to waste your time traveling downtown. Rooms are OK, but too minimalist and not cozy at all. Make sure to eat at Airbrau restaurant ( 200m from the hotel).

2nd Stay at Kempinski Munich
Second time around at this hotel. First time around I guess I did not appreciate the value of this property (I'll blame it on the jet lag) it is quite impressive. To start reception was prompt and efficient, very pleasant. Booked a superior room. Room was very clean and spacious, no feeling closed in! 9' ceiling plenty of walking around room. The bathroom is large as well. However as with any 5 star hotel, the devil is in the details...food and extras. $20 pizza, $20 internet ($18 actually), $5 mini bar small sized soda. Next year when I'm back I will be staying here again!

I was amazed at the value of the offer I received, Normally I shop for the cheapest price hotel with amenities I need for basic comfort but with the offer from kempinski I got 5 star quality and comfort, miles and more bonus miles and no shuttle worry as i it is located at the airport entrance terminal 2. I had a layover and needed to be close in. Travel shopping was easy , shop value but live a little is now my motto!

Teutonic Comfort a Short Walk to the Terminal
Nicest airport hotel I have ever used Wonderful friendly staff and tasty dinner buffet in the main restaurant, plus a very comfortable bed in a region where beds are sometimes too hard.Highly recommended.
