Charming hotel with modern facilities southwest of Munich
K+K Hotel am Harras is truly charming and decorated with exceptional taste. The hotel is in the Sendling district, but the city center is easily reached by car or metro. Guests enjoy free Internet access via LAN lines in all rooms. An Internet lounge has a printer and free tea and coffee. The famous Oktoberfest grounds are within walking distance. Numerous restaurants, coffee shops, and beer gardens are also within easy reach.

Great Option if you like to use metro
The hotel is located at less than 1 block from metro and train station (S). If you don't mind using metro this option is great because of the low price (Compared to hotels in downtown). Fast internet conection, clean rooms, great service from staff. I recommend this hotel.

Great Oktoberfest Base
Location, Location. The hotel is about a mile from the Oktoberfest site (easy walking distance), shares a block with several nice restaurants, and there is a grocery store and post office across the street. The subway station is right out front. The rooms were clean and in good repair, but no frills here. The parking garage was a nice plus, although it is very difficult to navigate and park in a full size vehicle. The staff was very friendly and helpful. Most spoke English and German.

The Italian restaurant across the street has excellent pizza, and the pastry shop down the street has fantastic, inexpensive coffee and some of the best pastries I've every had. No need to use the hotel breakfast!

Very nice stay!
K+K is conveniently close to the metro and it is only a few minutes to the town centre. The room was tastefully decorated with a modern bathroom. The staff were polite and helpful. It was exactly what one would expect from a decent 4* hotel.

There is very little to interest a traveller in the immediate vicinity of the hotel, BUT the U Bahn station Am Karras is literally at your doorstep.

K+K Hotel Munich
This was my third stay - all on business, and I was looking forward to spending the weekend. I asked for a room facing to the back, which is quieter than the street side. They gave me an upgrade to a double room overlooking the charming breakfast patio on the ground floor. As a businessman, I was impressed with the internet access. Fast and reliable. The staff is great, the rooms are comfortable and quiet. From the Haras U-Bahn stop, you are minutes from everything worthwhile in Munich.

Short walk from hotel
There are several delightful restaurants within walking distance. My recommendation, for warm weather travelers, is the Spektakle beer garden about 5 blocks north. It is 100% the real deal without an ounce of ostentation. Natural and enjoyable. If the weather is bad, eat inside the old Wirthaus and enjoy the Nuremberger Wurst with a Weissbier. Life at its best.

Military Traveller
Convenient and reasonably priced
With the construction it was a little difficult to find out how to get into the area. The parking was reasonably priced given the cost of parking anywhere in Munich. The spots are very small, though. I had to park extremely close to the driver's side so that my wife could get out and I ended up having to exit my vehicle from her side. The staff was very helpful. We went to Munich to check out their Fruhlingsfest and the staff supplied us with a map and directions on how to get there via the U-Bahn or on foot. The hotel was conveniently located for going to just about anywhere in the city. The U-Bahn is right outside the hotel so it's extremely easy to get to the hauptbahnhof which in turn will take you anywhere in the city for just a couple of euro. The rooms are pretty standard of what you'll find in most of Europe in that they are quite small. The bathroom was the plus in that it had a full bath.

Expat in Dusseldorf
1st time to Munich
I am an Expat working in Dusseldorf for 2 years (with wife). My German colleagues said that Munich was one of the cities that we needed to visit. We picked this hotel based on previous reviews. There is plenty of shopping and places visit and eat. Didn't have time to visit everything we wanted to (we only spent 2 nights there). So far we have been to Amsterdam, Cochem, Cologne, Berlin, Bruges, Stuttgart, and Brussels… Munich is my wife's favorite so far. The hotel staff was very friendly, the facility and rooms were clean. The breakfast was very good. The price was exceptional for what you got. It was located near the U & S Bahn, which made it easy to travel to & from the city center and other attractions. We only had one issue, the air-conditioning didn't work (it didn't bother us to much, opening the windows cooled things off during the night). Our experience was positive, and would stay there again (thumbs up).

Really enjoyed my stay
My room was very satisfactory, modern and clean. The staff were very friendly and accommodating. The location was convenient and public transportation was right outside the door. The hotel has an underground garage if you have a car. There was a McDonald's next door and a Market right across the street. I highly recommend this hotel to anyone traveling to Munich.
