Elegant four-star hotel for business and leisure in the city center
The Hotel Drei Loewen (Three Lions) is an elegant, four-star hotel in the city center. Munich Central rail station, the Oktoberfest venue, the city's pedestrian shopping area, and the historic city center are within easy walking distance. The area has a wide selection of restaurants, bars, cafés, and specialty shops. Other business and leisure attractions are a short distance by car or taxi. The hotel offers 24-hour room service. Friendly and helpful staff.
The hotel was within walking distance to the Marienplatz and very close to the train & subway system. Avoid the rooms at the rear because of a Youth Hostel Hotel. Very noisy and up all hours. The front desk staff complimented us with a buffet breakfast for our trouble. Overall a good stay, large,clean & comfortable rooms.

worth going back
we sought a clean safe quiet place to rest. This place fit the bill perfectly, so we decided to return in a few days. The management offered the same price as we had gotten from [...]. A deal.

Right around the corner, across from the Bahnhof, was a schnitzel restaurant with very good prices. Also, the "street weenies" at the end of the tracks in the Bahnhof are very good German brauts, if that is what you seek.

Great value
Great value when compared to rates for hotels at more premier locations in town. Neighborhood reminds of the olden days outside of military bases or some of the side streets of Manhattan...strip clubs, pawn shops, etc... This particulary comment would apply to all hotels located just south of the HBF. Wouldn't recommend stumbling around at night after a few liters of beer. The room was small and clean. Effective for a couple, but way to small for more or mere friends.

Small room but well equiped and clean. Very convenient for central station although not the most attractive district. Didn't have time for breakfast so can't comment on that. Price fair. Would stay here again.

Great!!!
The hotel is only a 5 minute walk from the train station. The rooms were very nice and the staff was very helpful. I highly recommend this hotel and will stay there again on our next trip to Munich.

Use the subway pass in this city, you can get anywhere in the city for 9 Euro's for up to 5 people for any form of transportation (subway, tram, bus) for as many times as you want for an entire day.

clean, simple, nice rooms. close to the central station but the neighbourhood was not very safe. hotel staff was nice and friendly, willing to help.
