Have a German beer in the lounge of Munich hotel by Oktoberfest grounds

We booked a standard room at the Herzog Wilhelm City with [...]. Unfortunately the hotel was overbooked when we arrived. So we got a little low standard room with no toilett or shower in it (there were two bathrooms for the whole floor outside the rooms). The room was very clean, the breakfast was okay, the employees were friendly and the location was the best of all (very central). If [...] hadn't screwed it up - they charged us 141 USD - it would have been a great stay.Over all, I would stay at that hotel again, [...]

Good location and friendly staff!
The hotel is conveniently located near the Altstadt and tram, S-bahn, U-bahn and the central train station. Staff was friendly and a good source of information. The room was comfortable but it took a few days to find the right room temperature for the cool days we were there (the heat needed to be off and the window open during the day for comfort). Closet space was excellent. There was a very nice breakfast spread that was part of the hotel package. Many good restaurants are nearby. The only drawbacks were a very narrow bathroom (no more than four feet wide) and too much late night noise from the street and park (loud drunks - bring earplugs!). We would definitely stay there again.

Close to City Center, Great Breakfast
The staff was very friendly, wonderful breakfast that is included, also free internet. The location is perfect for easy walking to the City Center. The rooms are small but they were clean. The Herzog served our purposes well.

it did the job no more no less
Been to Munich 20 or so times this place was good but as we were only able to book 2 rooms @ £60 we had to book another via another means. To book the third one was going to cost £120 pounds per night

great all night bar down the road. it is very hidden but it was great fun watching the comings and goings once we found it

Arrived late at night after too
Arrived late at night after too many hours in transit to find we had been given a very small room with 2 even smaller beds, where we had booked and paid for the opposite. Very disappointing, but remedied perfectly the next morning with an upgrade which was much appreciated. Magnificent buffet breakfast included in the price and no other hassels. Would use again.

Não posso imaginar lugar mais agradável do que o Herzog para ficar hospedado em Munchen. Quartos aconchegantes, ambiente simpático, café excelente, localização perfeita para explorar o dia e a noite da cidade. Parabéns!
