My review of Golden Tulip Olymp Hotel
The room was comfortable. The room we had was not in the main hotel but in a separate apartment building. The mattress on the sleeper sofa was not comfortable at all. Very thin and old looking. Was surprised that there was a little kitchen area with fridge and hot plate. The only other issue was that you could see through the bathroom door if you were walking down the hall in the room. The room was very large . Had a separate bedroom and living area. Location was very good. Close to the U bahn. Close to the Munich airport.

Hotel was within a few blocks of the bahnhof, had a lovely dining room with wonderful big breakfast buffet. also close to bakery and other eating establishments - basically it's in the center of town - so not stuck eating at the hotel the entire time (as it was a little pricey) - but the hotel failed to give us 2 written messages and a fax from our family trying to get hold of us. They had left messages for us (they even had our room number) and the hotel refused to deliver them to us. One letter finally arrived, but only when our sister was waiting in the lobby! they they delivered the letter and said, oh, and she is waiting for you in the lobby!

Money-saving tip:
Short walk from hotel
Bahnhof and larger grocery store several blocks from hotel. Biergarden, historic Gasthof Huberwirt, church, bakery, apotheke, and some little shops etc. are all within very short walking distance. A little longer walk takes you to pedestrian path over the AutoBahn where you will find a BIG shopping area with Ikea!

Appropriate value for price
This hotel was clean and the staff were very professional and helpful with directions that I needed. The only complaint that I had was that the armoire in the room (the only place to store clothing) was missing all but one of its shelves. When I mentioned this to the staff and attempted to get other shelves from other rooms, this seemed to be a hassel. However, after 2 phone calls, I was given 1 shelf. We managed. Other than this, the hotel is a good value for the dollar. The hotel restaurant itself is pricey, however there are many other restaurants nearby to choose from.

Long walk from hotel
There was a nice bakery nearby (3 minute walk) that offered a nice selection of pastries, sandwiches and coffee for breakfast. A great alternative to the hotel restaurant breakfast and much more economical.

Service läßt nichts zu wünschen
Service läßt nichts zu wünschen übrig, sehr freundlich. Fahrradstellplatz in der Tiefgarage. Frühstück sehr reichhaltig. Jederzeit zu empfehlen.
