Our Golden Leaf Hotel Altmnchen is centrally located yet off the beaten path. Marienplatz, the heart of Munich, is only a few minutes away. With U- and S-Bahn-connections right at hand, you can get around quite well without a car, which you can leave without a care in our Underground Parking. Directly in front of our door, you have the renowned Nockherberg and the Auer Dult, with samplings from a typically Bavarian way of life.

Quaint hotel

The hotel is in a good location not far from the Deuthches Museum and Marienplatz. Its quaint and quiet with adaquate furnishing. The staff is friendly and helpful. The resturaunt had excellant food at a good price with a very friendly waiting staff. Taking in mind the cost, staff, and resturaunt I would definatly recommend. I will add I was there in March during 50-60 F days

Dining tip: Long walk from hotel

Visit the Viktualianmarkt at the end of the Marienplatz. Freshbread, Fruit and flowers are fantastic there. You can try samples of the foods and I found the vendors to be very friendly

No parking, wrong hours & rip-off breakfast

The staff was very nice, all helpful. Three major issues were:1) check-in wasn't until 3:00p when the website listed 2:00p & check-out was at 10:30a when website listed 11:00a. 2) Breakfast wasn't re-stocked; by 9:00a all the food was gone, there weren't enough dishes out for the amount of guests, no juice, plus spoiled/bruised fruits. 3) The parking lot was completely full and the hotel didn't offer to reimburse us for parking.

The Paulaner Beer garden is a short walk form the hotel. We were visiting for the 'Strong Beer Fest'.

Comfortable, reasonably priced getaway

Front Desk staff were very friendly and spoke very good english. Only had one miscommunication. We understood checking in that the breakfast was included. Upon checkout, we were told it was not and got a bill for 12 Euro per person per day (72 Euro). It was a nice breakfast and worth the value, but a little shock at the end of an otherwise very nice stay. The food was great. Service impeccable.

Really well located near the Deutches

Really well located near the Deutches Museum, within 15 minutes straight walk of Viktullen Markt and Marien Platz. Nice restaraunt in Hotel and good bars nearby. Hotel is a bit shabby but clean - friendly staff, breakfast is €12 but there is a nice Cafe and a bakery nearby - coffee and cake about €3.50. I would book again

A good hotel for a visitor like

A good hotel for a visitor like me who will be at hotel only for the night halt. Conveniently located with all public transport facilities just at walking distance. Good in service. Should provide facility of booking room inclusive of breakfast. I didnt find it on xxxxxx booking site. Will stay here again if I am traveling alone and in Munich.

The hotel was lovely and clean.

The hotel was lovely and clean. The rooms were very well appointed and the resturant next door was so good! The hotel was in a quiet part of Munich but close to the museums and the walk along the river was nice and relaxing. There is a bus stop close to the hotel to take you into the centre of town (short trip) which is a short walk to the train station.
