kind but expensive and far

I attended a conf which was in the center of the city, a 15 euro cab ride and so the transportation became pricey and there were no mass transit options. They charge 13 euros a day for internet which is unacceptable and even if I do not drink, they won't exchange the complimentary beer with water.

Nice hotel with an "ok" location

For the purpose of a place to lay your head for the night this hotel is fine. Dont expect anything too exciting. Breakfast is offered every morning but you are not told that it is not included until you check out. The walk to the "touristy" stuff is about 25 minutes if you are at a good pace. After 3 days I was taking cabs places.

Sightseeing tip: Short walk from hotel

If you are in town for Octoberfest and nothing else you can walk there in about 10 minutes. If you want to see Munich find a hotel closer to the train station and city center.

Short City Break

Spent 3 nights at this Living Hotel ( 2 Rooms). Pleasantly surprised at the size and furnishings of rooms and the kitchenette facilities which meant we could save on the cost of breakfast in the Hotel. Limited daily free mini bar (water & beer) was very welcome. Local supermarket was in same block as Hotel and proved very useful. Unisex sauna was a bit naturist for our British reserve. Nearest tube station was a 15 minute walk but daily group ticket (18 euros for 5 adults) was a good buy and offered discounts at some of the city attractions / tourist facilities. Reception staff were very helpful and we are happy to recommend this hotel and may try others in the same group. Only reservation was restaurant seemed expensive and limited so we ate out locally.

One night in Munich

Location had me concerned at first - the hotel wasn't on the city map. But it is still an easy walk into the city, and the area it is in is very nice. The room was stunningly good, not just clean, but perfectly fitted out and stylish. The service was extremely friendly and helpful.

The river, which runs close past the hotel, provides the perfect location for a run, walk or ride. I went running from the hotel while I was there - not something you cam easily do from all hotels.

Princessin Elisabeth

Munich was our favorite city, thanks in part to the awesome staff at the Princessin Elisabeth. There was also a nice grocery store right downstairs, a convenient kitchenette in our room and the train station was a 10-15 minute walk (nice when weather is good). There is also a bike/running trail right near the hotel. We stayed in Europe for three weeks and this was easily the best hotel for the money!!

Layover in Munich

We loved this hotel. Although not in the center of Munich, there were two substations within a 10 minute walk. The staff was courteous, the room comfortable (although we wish they had a couch versus two chairs) and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Definitely worth every penny!
