Comfortable hotel and apartments in Munich overlooking the River Isar
The 3-star Derag Hotel Max Emanuel overlooks the river Isar and is within easy reach of central Munich. A large selection of rooms, suites, and serviced apartments suits both vacationers and business travelers. The excellent Munich public transport network takes visitors across the rest of the city quickly and efficiently.

Drinking Beer in Munich
Overpriced but completely adequate
Overall, this hotel was a good hotel, but nothing special for the money I paid. For 50-80 euros per night, it would be an excellent value, but at over 100 euros a night, with no air conditioning and cheap furniture, and an average bed, it was nothing special. The staff was great (complete english fluency), and the location was just two S-Bahn stops from Marienplatz. But the hotel felt overpriced.

Decent location, good value
The hotel is a bit dated but decent overall. 5-minute drive / 20-minute walk to the center. BAD: No AC. (We were lucky about the weather though - it was 15-20C in mid July). Expensive breakfast (14 euro). Internet only free for 1 hour a day and I could only get it to work in the lobby. GOOD: Mini-kitchen with teapot, fridge with free beer and water.

Happy Traveler
Overpriced & Not impressed
We were in Munich for a couple of days during the Octoberfest; we realized the prices would be higher, but this hotel was still not worth the money. The room was neat, but not clean (cobwebs in the ceiling corner). Do not recommend the hotel breakfast, too pricey for the quality of the product. Make reaservastions EARLY somewhere else.

Als reine Übernachtungsgelegenheit okay
Hier stimmt zwar das große ganze mehr jedoch nicht. Obwohl die Luft draußen sehr angenehm war, war das Zimmer stickig und extrem heiß. Auch aufgerissene Fenster konnten die Luft nicht deutlich verbessern. Nur zum übernachten wars okay ansonsten eher nicht.
