This wonderful property offers a sophisticated place to stay for the guest who appreciates a warm, personal service in intimate surroundings as opposed to the grand oppulence of a larger deluxe hotel.
For travellers who want to explore the rich cuisine of this region shouldn't miss a meal in one of the restaurants, under no circumstances. LH0608 The hotel has a charming, homely facade. It is a very old building, made of dark grey stone and covered in beautiful flowering plants. The hotel is located on the opposite bank of the River Neckar from the Old Town and castle, in a quiet and very exclusive residential area. The Old Town is just 10 minutes' walk away, over the historic bridge.
The view from the hotel is just spectacular and the famous "Philosopher`s way" is just 5 mins on the same side of the river banks.

- The rooms are all of different shapes and sizes and in different styles, varying from very small and cosy suites to very large grand suites. The decor in all the rooms is traditional, though all are of Laura Ashley design. All the rooms and the bathrooms are in exceptional condition.

- The restaurants are located on the ground floor and are lovely rustically styled rooms with a warm, welcoming ambience. Both restaurant, the "Le gourmet" and the "Mensurenstube" are particularly well-known in Heidelberg and Germany not only for its exceptional cuisine, but for having one of the most varied and exclusive wine and champagne lists. They won several prices and are awarded in several gourmet guides.
