I was pleased (why a charge for wi-fi?)
I was happy to stay at the Renaissance Hamburg and enjoyed the room. The staff were helpful, the room was clean and the bed was comfortable. Thank you.

Good location
The Hamburg Renaissance Hotel is well located for sightseeing, within walking distance of everything we wanted to do. The only things that bothered us were the charges for parking and internet use, which I feel could have been lower.

Some interesting restaurants are on barges in the canals nearby. They are hard to find unless you look there, and there aren't many other restaurants on the nearby streets.

Great Stay
We stayed at the Renaissance Hamburg Hotel and it was great. We had been in Germany traveling for a week staying on other hotels but this one was the best. The room was good sized and the beds were extremely comfortable. The location was in the middle of the shopping area with all kinds of restuarants within walking distance. The staff was very friendly and took time to answer any questions we had. If I went back I would stay there again and I would recommend it to anyone who is traveling to Hamburg. The one downside is they only had one computer in the lobby for use.

Spring Break
Spent 8 nights in Hamburg, Germany at the Renaissance Hotel. The location was great, near trains and plenty of shopping. Easy walk to Hamburg Dom Festival, harbor area and other sites. The internet charge and movie charge was a little high, but we would stay here again. The staff was extremely helpful and always friendly! Did not try restaurant but the reception area was a nice place to spend an evening.

Family break in Hamburg
Both families got to the hotel early by 11am thinking we just could leave the two cars we took. The hotel reception told us our two rooms booked were ready!! Brilliant!!!. Checked in and the porter really friendly for transporting our luggage as we had a young 1 1/2 year old with toys etc. .Room(s) clean , tidy & spacious. Location is perfect in the centre of Hamburg just 5 minutes walk from the boat trips and the historic town hall ( Rathaus).Car parking is hectic as you have to leave the keys for the porter to park and a bit steep the price at 25 Euros /day. Easy reaching the zoo by train on the U bahn and definitely worth a visit. Lots of coffee shops nearby and for those that have to' shop till you drop', you are right in the middle of the best shops in Hamburg.

Gutes Hotel in exzellenter Lage
Wir haben mit unserem Sohn in einem Familienzimmer übernachtet und waren rundum zufrieden. Einziges Negativum ist der mit 25€ pro Tag auch für Hamburger Verhältnisse hohe Preis für das Unterstellen unseres Pkw.
