- The rooms, although very small, have been renovated and refurnished recently and both rooms and bathrooms are in exceptional condition. The furniture and beds in light wood creating a warm and comfortable atmosphere.

- Serving only light meals and snacks, the restaurant is small and has more of a 'café' style atmosphere. During warm weather the hotel opens a small beer garden which is popular with guests and locals alike who want to savour a cold weissbier or pils whilst watching the peaceful Fussen life go by.

Fantastic place to stay
This is an immaculate hotel. The cleanest we have ever seen! The staff are multilingual and extremely nice and very helpful. The rooms are very nice with comfortable beds and lots of pillows. Our rooms had bathtubs!! We wished we had been staying for more than just one night. There is a very nice gift shop attached to the hotel. We were staying there because we were going to see the Neuschwanstein Castle. I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone going to that area.

Wonderful hotel - very helpful staff
We had mistakenly made reservations to the castles on the wrong day and the front desk clerk made calls to correct the situation. Because he did that, our stay went off without a hitch. Also, they were very helpful in getting bus travel information for us. We also enjoyed the free internet station so that we could contact our boys on-line. (Our cell phone had no service in Fussen.)

Hotel Sonne, Fussen, Germany
In the middle of town, close to everything, bus to the castles. Great food and shopping within walking distance. Friendly and helpful staff.

We very much liked the hotel and
We very much liked the hotel and ammenities, however it was sometimes called Sonne Hotel and other times Hotel Sonne, leading us to think that there were in fact two hotels, especially as the addresses were different.

An excellent hotel for visiting
An excellent hotel for visiting the castles nearby. It was great to have allocated underground parking (which we had booked ahead of the visit). The staff were friendly helpful and knew what they were talking about. Would definitely like to go there again

Awesome hotel!

Perfect
The Hotel Sonne was perfect. It was only a short walk from the train station. The staff was great. And then the room... it was marvelous. Large, spacious with a balcony with chairs overlooking the alps. Watching the sun set on the Alps is something I will never forget. I will stay here next time without a doubt.
