Around the block
not as advertized
Hotel was farther from the Ariport than 7.5 miles. Maybe as the crow flys but it took 25 minutes to get from Airport to hotel. Also there are two Steigenberger hotels. Two different shuttles.. becarful not to get on teh nice new bus!! takes you to the wrong hotel.

Decent hotel but a little out of the way
Very clean hotel; service was very good but not much to look at. Located in an industrial/warehouse area near the airport, perfect for business or transient passengers. Clean rooms, comfortable beds. One negative was that one of our non-smoking rooms, smelled like cigar smoke and they immediately changed the room for us which was a minor inconvenience... Also, the AC units are extremely noisy!

Frankfurt on Business
OK at Best
The only thing I have nice to say about this Hotel is it is close to the airport and metro station. If you choose to stay be aware that the Airport shuttle bus only picks up every hour, so depending on when your flight arrives you might be waiting awhile. (I waited over 45mins in the cold). Hotel staff is not very organized. Lost my reservation, put me in a smoking room when I requested a non-smoking. FYI they are very limited on the number of non-smoking rooms and it is almost like 1st come first serve. Beware Internet usage is 14 Euro per day ( Highway Robbery!) Metro station is about 5min walk. No good restaurants close to the hotel. Hotel restaurant mediocre at best. My advice take the train somewhere to eat

old and tired
old hotel without old charm, service people kind but does not make up for lack of overall quality, bathroom without soap etc. Restaurant quality poor.

Good value. Good accomodation (family of 3) and restaurant Maxx was absolutely fine dining at a reasonable cost. Staff was all wonderful. During our stay the weather was unbearably hot & humid and there is no air conditioning, but the room had a window for ventilation and the staff immediately delivered, not one, but 2 fans, upon request.

Great Place for attending Paperworld Sho
This was my first stay at this hotel in Frankfurt. The location to train station made it very easy to travel daily to Messe Frankfurt for the Paperworld Show. The airport shuttle was excellent. The room was very clean, quiet and comfortable. The hotel staff was very couretous. The breakfast was good not great and the dinners were equally good but not great. I highly recommend this location as an economic choice for staying in Frankfurt for the Paperworld Show.
