Family-owned downtown Frankfurt hotel with sauna, pool
The Savoy Hotel is located just a few blocks from the Hauptbahnhof station in downtown Frankfurt. The property boasts a sauna, swimming pool, Swedish solarium and steam room, as well as a state-of-the-art fitness center. Accommodations are modest but perfectly efficient -- spacious work desks are a nice touch for business travelers. Piano, the on-site restaurant, serves breakfast daily (fees apply), and opens a bar at night for cocktails and beer.

Convenient location, good value
This hotel is very conveniently located a short walk from the train station. That entire section of town is "not the best" in terms of some rather rough characters that can be seen lingering around the train station. But we did not experience any direct conflicts or difficulties. The hotel rooms are very small and utilitarian. They do not provide a coffee maker or kettle in the room, which was a bit of an inconvenience. Also, their bar and front desk were often left unstaffed in the early morning or evening hours, and one had to wander around a little bit to find someone. Once the staff member was located, they would cheerfully assist with whatever you needed, but it is clear that the hotel does not "overspend" on staffing during off hours. Overall, a good decent choice if you'd like to stay close to the train station for a reasonable price. No major complaints and for the price I would probably choose to stay there again.

Short drive from hotel
Spend half a day at the thermal spa in Bad Homburg, less than half an hour away. Its saunas, thermal baths and solariums were a very European experience and a lovely way to rest and relax on your first day of jet-lag!

Simple and fair accommodations
The hotel is slightly above average in cleanliness and price is reasonable. There are both better and worst hotels in this area of Frankfurt. Not a bad stay for a couple of days.

our stay...
Hotel is very well located, 2 min walk from main train station and 10 min to heart of city. But it is very noisy, cars and police vehicles run around all night long, nothing that the hotel can do, but be ready. They have a pool and steam bath / sauna on top floor, great stuff ! Did not have breakfast but the room looked big, buffet was very well done. It was too expensive for us. Around hotel: full of eateries and very secure neighborhood. Recommended at this price level !

Certainly not 4 star but price was low
As title says clearlynot a 4 star, was ok if you are not spending toomuch time in the room. And beware of the cleaners they wont leave you alone even on the day you checkout!

An average quality hotel
It is an average quality hotel with good location. You need to pay extra for internet, 9.5 Eur/24hr plus 15.-Eur extra for Breakfast. This way this hotel costs rather more expensive than surrounding hotels in this area.

good location
The hotel is quite close to the main station, it's very convenient ,however, there is no tea maker ..if you want to use Internet. You have to pay about ten euros per day,a little expensive!

Needed hotel close to station. Savoy location excellent. Room clean and quiet. Bed comfortable. Plenty of restaurants close by. Will stay again.
