Hotel room was convenient location (close to train station) for a 1 night stay over. Room was small but clean and comfortable. Stay was exceptionally helpful and nice. breakfast at hotel was fabulous

We stayed in the National Hotel the 7th Dec 10 for 3 days , my wife and I taught it was great. the only thing was they had no Family rooms, so we had to book two rooms as we had our three children with us. but that aside , the staff were brilliant and very friendly. the hotel its self was great they gave us two triple rooms and the size of them was amazing. would strongly reccomend this hotel for visits to Frankfurt. great location from the train station and not far from the city centre on the tram about 7 mins or a 20 min walk. ideal

The hotel lost our reservation. It took nearly a half hour for a Mr. Bean look alike to give us a room. He insisted we pay a deposit for the room even though everything was prepaid, either with a credit card or 20 euro in cash. We had a tiny room that was not clean and had no air conditioning. The towels in the bathroom were literally falling apart and looked like rags. There was mildew or mold in the shower, and the shower door would not open or close correctly. Bring your own soap. We had a corner room that gave us motion sickness from just sitting in there. Beware if you have kids, adult channels are in the middle of the television lineup and quite graphic when you are flipping through. Honestly, this was the grossest hotel we have ever stayed in. It was in worse shape than every hostel we have stayed in as well. The location is great, but with so many other options nearby, it is not worth it. The breakfast is nice, far better than expected, but we had lost our appetite from the room. There is no way this hotel is four stars.

Clean and comfortable hotel with friendly and helpful service at a great price; nicely situated just across from the main train station and a few blocks from the river. The only drawbacks were the small room and bathroom and the lack of air conditioning on a hot summer night.

Close to main railway station. Spacious room - 3 star by Australian standards - tea and coffee facilities but no room service and only breakfast dining room. 10 to 15 minute walk to old city and shopping precinct. Close to (but not in) the red light area Staff courteous and helpful

This was a transitional stay for our flight, the location near the train station is a real plus. The hotel had a large room and bath and the breakfast was served with starched linen. A good stay, friendly staff. The rooms were clean and quiet, just the usual sounds of a big city.

It was such a pleasure to stay in this hotel. We have been all over Europe and Asia for 2 months and this hotel would have to be at the top of our list. A huge room with excellent ammenities, outstanding service by all staff, great location and those little extras, like a welcoming drink, which make you feel welcome. Would definitely stay there again!

Convenient location near main Train station, but this also meant it was near bars and strip clubs, so not a great family location. Staff was very nice. Free internet access from computers in the lobby. For transportation purposes it was great. Room was large (we had a triple) though no airconditioning at end of June was oppressive. It was a hike to the more interesting tourist parts of the city.

Good location. Good price. Acceptable for 1 knight stay.

This hotel is conveniently located across from Hauptbahnhof and within a short walk to city center, river, cultural attractions, financial district etc. It is well-maintained with professional and friendly staff. Rooms are very (!) small, but bathrooms are have adequate space. And no AC. But this hotel is reasonably priced and a good option for a few nights in Frankfurt.
