Good option if you can get there
Yes, the hotel is close to Frankfurt's Westbanhof train station -- but on the other side of the tracks -- down a flight of stairs, through a pedestrian tunnel, back up a flight of stairs, through a small park and two blocks down the street. If you have luggage, you're better off taking a taxi from the Hauptbanhof (main train station) or airport. Once there, there are three buildings, with the third being primarily for long-term residents -- which was fine until I wanted to get a room service menu and was told that they don't normally place room-service menus in that building. The breakfast buffet was included in the rate and very good -- nice selection, well prepared and nicely presented. Dinner was also good. If you want to use the gym, check first -- it didn't seem to be open.

this was a stop over on our way to other location. it was close to the downtown area so one could walk. the staff made several suggestions on places to dine only a few blocks from location, as well as their dinning room. the breakfas was included ,very good selection & fresh

Easy Access to the Heart of the City
The Mercure Hotel and Residenz Frankfurt Messe The room was divided into separate sections, so although I was sharing with a friend, we had privacy in the sleeping area, a door that closed to the entry area, and a separate fully equipped bathroom.

The Mercure Hotel and Residenz Frankfurt Messe was conveniently located near a train stop and there were also buses and trams that passed by. We walked to the Botanical Gardens, about a 25 minute walk. We took the tram a short ride into the city to see museums, churches and go up in the tower.
