Golden Leaf Hotel and Residence Frankfurt

The staff was excellent at the hotel and put up with my very rudimentary German! There were only a couple of people that didn't know English in a functional manner, so thankfully I can understand most German just fine. :) I enjoyed my stay very much. The room was facing the road, so you could hear the trains passing by at night when you had the window open, but I rather enjoyed it and slept very well! The restaurant chef is AMAZING! Though it is an Italian restaurant, the lady waitress/chef/etc. was very happy to fix just about anything. Ask her what she recommends and you will NOT be disappointed! Though, you do pay for this kind of food and service, most definitely...it was not cheap. Save your Euros and skip breakfast so that you can eat the dinner that she serves; ask about the German regional specials. She didn't speak much English at all, but spoke both Italian and German just fine. Very nice woman, though I didn't catch her name, unfortunately. The location of the hotel was perfect! It was steps away to the Straßenbahn line 11 and U-Bahn line 6, so you can reach any part of the city in just a couple of minutes. The hotel also sells 2-day passes for all regional transport within Frankfurt. Great deal for €16.80 for two people! The front desk was also very helpful in printing out e-mails from my iPad without charge!

The hotel is close to the Ostbanhof metro station, so I could easily venture downtown or to the airport. Room was very clean and had a great view of the Frankfurt skyline;

Decent hotel, good deal. Located in the eastern part of town but tram 11 or subway U6 quickly take you to downtown locations. Nothing fancy but clean, good size room and bathroom. Unfortunately, no free internet access from the room. Don't know if room was air conditioned, it was not very hot in late june. Didn't try their breakfast, there's a cafe at the corner.

We enjoyed staying in this hotel. The room was big, the kitchenette allowed us to cook when we liked. The only complaint I have is that some of the utensils in the kitchenette were a little oily (not washed properly by the people who stayed there previously nor by the hotel), and no dishwashing liquid was provided. The tram stops just a stone-throw away, so transport was easy. Coffee and apples are provided at the lobby for all guests.

Excellent. Would definitely book there again. Had a ten month old baby and the kitchenette proved extremely useful.

It was a big room. I have gotten used to the typical European room but this was a US size room. It had a little kitchen in it so you could cook food instead of going out all the time. The hotel was modern and very clean. If you need internet in the room it is kind of a pain. I choose to go to a internet cafe.

The rooms were clean and comfortable. The breakfast buffet (12 Euros) was convenient and offered a good selection. The neighborhood has some good restaurants nearby. We would definitely stay here again.

Hotel was good. In room kitchenette was great. One warning was the local phone service and laundry was very expensive.

Rooms could be uncomfortable in hot weather, no A/C and windows do not open too far. Otherwise it was a nice room, helpful staff, a few restaurants near by. Comfortable for one night.

A number of reasonable and varied restaurants around the corner on the main street with tram 11 or U6 to take you into town.
