Excellent Budget Hotel

This hotel is in a great location near the train station and walking distance to the city center. The room is small (typical for Europe), but comfortable. Everything was recently renovated and clean. Beware of extra costs - the breakfast of bread and coffee was way overpriced (go to a local coffee shop; it's a better deal!) and wireless internet is extra as well. There is only one computer terminal for internet in the lobby, so plan on there being a line to use it. I had mixed experiences with the hotel staff - some were friendly; others were surly. In all, a good room value in a good location.

Dining tip: Long walk from hotel

The city center had several affordable dining options. The curry wurst stand by the Dom was fresh and delicious! I would also recommend Cagdas restaurant for good Turkish food with a nice environment, and the Asian soup noodle place just off the main pedestrian walkway (called Noudles or something close to that). Try an altbier while you are in town. Brewed in Dusseldorf, this beer is medium-dark, smooth, and a little sweet.
