Great price for location
This hotel is just steps outside the central station of Cologne, right across the train station from the cathedral, and an easy walk to many museums, restaurants, the waterfront, and really most everything you want to go to in Old Town Cologne. The rooms are really tiny, but I personally was fine with that. They have free wifi, which is another bonus, given the price. The gym (1 treadmill, 1 elliptical) left something to be desired, but I wasn't really there to go to the gym! :) I would absolutely stay here again.

I had a wonderful experience
Because of the convenient location, I was able to get alot of sight-seeing done and meet the local people. The staff was friendly, the accomodtions and the food was good. Best of all, not too pricey !

strange combination
It was very clean, the staff seemed nice, if only while not having problems. My only issue was with the WiFi access, because i used SKYPE phone service in a foreign country, i needed internet access, and i purchased (for 5 euros) a whole day of internet usage... and once i got back to my room, there was no reception. I thought, ah ha! i see a network access plug in the wall, surely they have a backup plan for this situation and will loan me a cord... no... such was not the case... after asking the front desk about the service i just purchased, the told me with a cold distance, "we are sorry, but the wifi reception on your floor is not possible"... for the service i just purchased from them. and all i got was a shoulder shrug and an "oh well" attitude from the clerk.
