the staff is very supportive and willing to help. Rooms are large, very well decorated and simple at the same time. The cocktails we ordered at the bar are from the best we have ever had....and the restaurant is simply superb.Ambiance and food were exquicite. Recomended wine for the food was an exelent match.

The service was really bad.
We
The service was really bad. We arrived at hotel around 14h30 the room was not ready... we got our room just when re return from the dinner! The bar never had people to serve us... In the last day we asked to a late cehck-out (just to 13h00) due the time that we didn't have the room at arrival. They refused and offer to hav a shower at spa. I left our luggage at reception. When we returned the luggage was in a storage far from reception. We spend around 30 minutes to have our lugagge (small bag)... and they didn't allow us to bring the luggage to the SPA. We have to open it at entrance, and bring out clotes in hand to go to SPA... It' really unbelivable to pay € 300/night to have this service.

great hotel
best location, close to everything. perfect to explore Berlin. great room, a suite actually. a lot of cafes, restaurants and shopping center just downstairs. highly recommended.

Comfortable room
The Mandala was comfortable and the suite included a cooking area and refrigerator that would be useful for a longer term stay. There was a sofa and chair as well as spacious desk. The bathroom was large and I liked that a robe and slippers was made available during the stay. There was a separate room for luggage and closet space in addition to the closet space provided in the bedroom. The location was convenient to public transit, taxis and local shopping and dining establishments.

Top Hotel
Personal: Sehr nett, professionell, hilfsbereit und aufmerksam. Lage: Zentral, viele Sehenswürdigkeiten und Anschluss an wichtige ÖV-Verbindungen quasi direkt vor der Haustüre. Einrichtung: Sehr behaglich und geschmackvoll gestaltet. Frühstück: Absoluter Hammer! Alles wird sofort nachgefüllt und ist sehr ansprechend präsentiert. Ausschliesslich frische Speisen: z.B. gesundes Birchermüsli mit geraffelten Äpfeln, über 10 verschiedene Säfte, diverses Geräuchertes, verschiedene Brot- und Käsesorten, liebevoll vorbereitete Fruchtstücke (z.B. filettierte! Orangenstücke, Melonenkügelchen), Lachs! Meeresfrüchtesalat etc. etc. Akustik: Leider etwas ringhörig. In unserem strassenseitig gelegenen Zimmer im 6. Stock konnten wir sogar die U-Bahn vorbeirumpeln hören. Schlafen mit Ohrstöpseln geht aber problemlos.

Wir waren das erste Mal in Berlin und haben ein wunderschönes Hotel an bester Lage gewählt. Sehr freundliches Personal und schönes Zimmer. Das Frühstück ist super, sowie der Spa-Bereich. Es werden alle Wünsche erfüllt.

Good location but lacking comfort
I was very disappointed with the room in this hotel. We stayed in a deluxe suite overlooking the Sony building. The hotel is beautifully decorated and the size of the room was correct. However the room was poorly laid out. First, the bed is squeezed up into a corner, so either myself or my husband was sleeping against a wall all night. Second, the bed was horribly hard and I woke up with a very stiff neck. Thirdly, the pillows and duvet were useless. They were of very poor quality and even with two pillows under my head, they were still barely supportive. Finally, we tried to use the spa treatment facilities, but when we arrived upstairs to book a treatment, we were kept waiting for 15 mins while the woman was doing something in the back, then she sat down and said that everything was booked for the whole weekend. So we couldn't even enjoy one of their express 30 minute treatments! We were extremely disappointed. Overall, I recommend staying at the Ritz or Hyatt which is located within walking distance of this hotel. The location is fantastic, but sadly the hotel was not up to par for such a great and historical setting.

Dining tip:
Short drive from hotel
Visit White Trash for a quick meal, good drink, and some live music. It really is as the place is named: White Trash, but it is a real enjoyable experience. Make sure to order a Strawberry Daiquiri (if you like that sort of drink)... they are excellent here.
