Quality hotel offering good value

well run, very comfortable executive type hotel. Rooms have all you could require for a comfortable stay. Roof 'terrace' leaves a little to be desired, although the limited views are good and watching the base jumpers jump off is entertaining.

Bungee jumping from the roof!

Modern, well appointed hotel. Offered bungee jumping from the roof or walking down the side of the building (just listen to the screams of each jumper). Amusing to watch! The conciege was knowledgeable and very helpful and the woman at the front desk was eager to help us find good restaurants. Here recommendations led us to many choices all of which were wonderful. Short walk to trams, buses, metro, and sightseeing tours. Directly across from a huge mall with a wonderful food court.

Dining tip: Short walk from hotel

Yosoy Tapas-Bar on Rosenthaler Strabe 37, was outstanding! Small, cozy, crowded with wonderful food, outstanding wine, and an excellent friendly staff. We went there twice for dinner and when we walked in the second night they greeted us with, "welcome back"! Perfect for a slow-paced, enjoyable evening.

Very practical, efficient location

Good service, good staff except last incident to pick up stored luggage, male was a bit brusk because he felt pressured. Female staff member took over very well to give us luggage for our trip Location scruffy since center of "hippie" culture but never felt threatened....

Very nice place, Great location

The hotel is so close to all the sights that you can walk every where and I did. The Hauptbahnhof isn't that far, if your up to it you can walk. The S-bahn also will take you right that for I think €2 it was. I was in Berlin twice on this trip. The hotel has all the shops you could want in the plaza below. Right next to the tower in Berlin. Great palce would go there again! My room was very nice. If your into it there is a casino in the hotel on the 37th floor. Very freindly staff and have very good knowledge of english.

good hotel, return traveler

great girl at the front desk. they give you late checkout for free on sundays, which was great! one of the concierge guys was kind of rude. the rooms are nice and clean, but the bathroom design is kind of awkward... just little stalls made of glass, which is tinted, but still easily to accidently see the other person...

Great Centrally located Hotel in Berlin

Hotel staff is very friendly, great restaurant in the hotel. Centrally located and near the train and subway. Many restaurants and shops within walking distance as well as tons of historic sites. Christmas times is a great time to visit Germany as many cities have little Christmas villages set up. In Berlin, they are all over the city. People are very friendly towards Americans and many speak English

short walk to shops and food. Also short walk to UBahn and SBahn trains. Wonderful Christmas village right outside the Hotel during December. A bit longer walk to many historic sites but definitely walkable

Well-located high-rise hotel

I selected this hotel as a conveniently-located comfortable option in downtown Berlin, to attend the Komische Oper Berlin summer festival. I knew from a previous visit that the transit connections at this location are numerous. The S-Bahn, U-Bahn, tram and bus systems are all available steps from the hotel. The hotel was clean and the staff was friendly and helpful. During a very hot week in Berlin, the fact that the public areas and the rooms were well-conditioned was especially appreciated. This is not a trendy choice, but definitely comfortable.

Money-saving tip: In Hotel

Get the Berlin Welcome Card for transit fares, available from the hotel concierge. There are several options for different lengths of time, and for geographical coverage. For me, the Euro 29.95 card good for 5 days for the Berlin AB area worked out perfectly. All you have to do is validate the card at any one of the stations or on the bus, and you can forget about fumbling for change or queuing at a ticket machine. This is good for fares on the S-Bahn, U-Bahn, trams and buses.

Great Location

This hotel is very large and efficient for both leisure and business travelers. The location next to a major train station and historic sites, situates this hotel very well. The Breakfast is enormous, healthy and tasty. The concierge service was one of its weekest points. It was more like a sales department for selling you expensive sightseeing trips. They had little interest in solving personal problems. The good news is that there are lots of good information centers nearbye to get the information you might need. Being from a warmer climate air conditioning is important to us. The Air Conditioning did not work very well. They have a very unique system. This hotel overall is good value. Within easy walking distance are all price ranges of restaurants. In closing, the hotel overall enhanced our trip to Berlin!

Good location, fine breakfast

With a room on the 29th floor, we had a great view of the TV tower and the city below. We did not like the glass-walled bathroom, which limited privacy, but the bedroom section was comfortable. The location was good for museums and other tourist attractions. Although the hotel was filled with business people, we found it hospitable to tourists as well. The breakfast buffet was great.
