Park Inn by Radisson Berlin Alexanderplatz

The hotel is in a great location, there are many shops and shopping malls around it. That's the only thing i am satisfied with this hotel.But the room is incredible small, i think it's the smallest room i've ever stayed in a hotel. the pillow is too soft to sleep on, even i asked the second one to put on , it was still killing my neck next morning. there is no kettle and tooth brush applied in the room so i totally doubt it's the standard of 4 stars hotel. wifi is 20 euro a day which is not worth. you can find free wifi at the shopping mall which is near the hotel.

Nothing special to report about the hotel other than the view (which was considerably lower than what we expected it to be) but the staff were considerably rude several times. When the water was cold, I called reception and they said 'Call the maintenance men as it's not our problem'. When I requested extra pillows or asked about internet from them, they treated me very coldly like they didn't want to be bothered. Overall, not impressed by staff's hospitality. Didn't feel welcome and didn't like having to sort out cold water ourselves.

We could not have been happier with our choice in hotels. We had a city view room on the 35th floor and could see the fireworks across the entire city. What a view! Alexanderplatz was a vibrant area with train, u-bahn and s-bahn stations within a short distance from the hotel. Food and shopping were steps away. There was even a skating ring and Christmas market in the plaza during our stay. Every concierge we met was extremely helpful and spoke English. Don't expect a huge American size room. We would highly recommend this hotel.

The room was great, clean, service ensured clean towels everyday, with a complete going over of the room. Some reviews stated that the room was too small, I did not find this room small, however, I was a single individual traveling. 2 people can easily enjoy this room as it is spacious enough.Front desk and concierge were very helpful and informative. The gripe I have is with the Wi Fi...coming from the US, I am used to free Wi Fi at hotels. I understand that it cannot be free everywhere..however, the pricing for using the Wi Fi is high in my opinion. 18 Euros for 24 hrs....6.5 Euros for 1 hr. Overall, a nice stay and I would stay here again...however, seeing the city, there would be other choices I would pick over the Park Inn strictly based on area within the city only. Had a great view of the city from the 17th floor.

negatives: beds- uncomfortable because they have too much give and feel much older than they look. pillows (might be cultural thing)- they are small a feel like they have 1/4 the normal inside material, also they are lumpy. internet- they don't tell u on their website but internet is 18 euro/24hr which is incredibly expensive given that it's not the fastest. TV- has a few english language news channels but none of the most watched ones. Bathroom- no walls in the bathroom, just a curtain. it does have beautiful slabs of what looks like marble but no walls. Windows- they open...to a chamber that has another window which u can't open, so probably not very good for summer weather. storage space- minimal, I've seen better in a hostel cleaning staff---knocked at my door at 8am to clean... positives: location- right on the platz mini-frig- could be positive or negative. they probably charge a crazy amount for all those little things in it, but some people like that stuff. concierge- they are helpful and speak english well as do the check-in staff. Restaurant- there's a restaurant and a fast-food joint in the building which is good for people who don't want to travel much for food if they're tired.

Great location for exploring the city - provided just the base we needed. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Rooms were comfortable, clean with funtional furnishing which optimised the use of space. Great views from the room.

Good service, good staff except last incident to pick up stored luggage, male was a bit brusk because he felt pressured. Female staff member took over very well to give us luggage for our trip Location scruffy since center of "hippie" culture but never felt threatened....

We've stayed at the Park Inn twice, and both times had great experiences. It's totally classy without being stuffy. The bathrooms also have very modern, cool showers and hip euro doors. It's also right in the middle of Alexanderplatz which is pretty sweet.
