Good service, good staff except last incident to pick up stored luggage, male was a bit brusk because he felt pressured. Female staff member took over very well to give us luggage for our trip Location scruffy since center of "hippie" culture but never felt threatened....

Great view and location, cool bathrooms.
We've stayed at the Park Inn twice, and both times had great experiences. It's totally classy without being stuffy. The bathrooms also have very modern, cool showers and hip euro doors. It's also right in the middle of Alexanderplatz which is pretty sweet.

In Hotel
The "Doner Inn" is downstairs outside the hotel. It's open at least til 4AM it seems -- if you don't know what "doner" is you should check it out.

Well-located high-rise hotel
I selected this hotel as a conveniently-located comfortable option in downtown Berlin, to attend the Komische Oper Berlin summer festival. I knew from a previous visit that the transit connections at this location are numerous. The S-Bahn, U-Bahn, tram and bus systems are all available steps from the hotel. The hotel was clean and the staff was friendly and helpful. During a very hot week in Berlin, the fact that the public areas and the rooms were well-conditioned was especially appreciated. This is not a trendy choice, but definitely comfortable.

In Hotel
Get the Berlin Welcome Card for transit fares, available from the hotel concierge. There are several options for different lengths of time, and for geographical coverage. For me, the Euro 29.95 card good for 5 days for the Berlin AB area worked out perfectly. All you have to do is validate the card at any one of the stations or on the bus, and you can forget about fumbling for change or queuing at a ticket machine. This is good for fares on the S-Bahn, U-Bahn, trams and buses.

Park Inn Berlin Alexanderplatz
Our room was small but VERY adequate. Service with a smile from everyone. Delicious breakfast buffet (though pricey!) Unfortunately, wireless internet not free. VERY close to major train stations, bus stops, within walking distance of almost every sight-seeing possibility. Location VERY key.

A fantastic reasonably priced
A fantastic reasonably priced hotel which is in a great location with train, metro and tram links that will take you anywhere you may wish to go within a 1 minute walk. In addition, many of Berlin's popular tourist attractions are within a short walk of the hotel. Even though the hotel has very good bars, restaurants and even a casino contained within, there are plenty of very good restraunts and cafe bars situated in and around the square and is a relaxed meeting point for locals and tourists alike however this does not interfere at all in achieving a good night's sleep! We would definitely stay here again and would not even consider a different location.

good hotel, return traveler
great girl at the front desk. they give you late checkout for free on sundays, which was great! one of the concierge guys was kind of rude. the rooms are nice and clean, but the bathroom design is kind of awkward... just little stalls made of glass, which is tinted, but still easily to accidently see the other person...
