Friendly and Great Location
The Melia Hotel made our trip to Berlin worthwhile. My wife and I more than enjoyed the friendly staff, the top-notch restaurant, and the perfect location. Nearly every site on our to-see list was within walking distance. Do yourself a favor, if you're traveling to Berlin, book a room at Hotel Melia.

What a great place to stay!
Six of us stayed at the Melia on Friedrichstrasse - so convenient for public transport to everywhere and with its own underground car park. The staff were friendly, helpful, very quick to respond and very thorough in resolving our problems. The rooms at the front have views of the river with remarkably little sound from the street. Rooms are warm, clean, well supplied with freebies and well insulated for sound - no noise from neighbours. We loved it!

Great Hotel.....but
This is a great hotel that truly resembles a 4-5 star hotel. The location is Ideal as it is truly within walking distance of a lot of Berlin's tourist sites and is also very close to public transportation. The staff is very friendly and tends to speak several languages to accommodate their customers. The rooms are spacious and the hotel is several options for eating within 2 blocks. All that being said I was charged a significant price for Breakfast/Wi-Fi/Parking, it felt very demeaning and not what I would expect from such a quality hotel, I would recommend they just include this in their normal charge as most 4-5 star hotels already do.

Great value
Perfect location. Close walk to Reichstag and other attractions. Very modern and clean hotel, and restaurants in the hotel is fantastic and reasonably priced (I'm from NYC and I find food there much cheaper).

First Timer
My first time in Germany and decided to choose this Hotel due to its location. Room was a bit pricey but well worth it. The train station is literally across the street. Room was clean and luxurious. Also has a nice view of the shopping street.

Great value/location
Melia Berlin has everything one needs for a comfortable stay in Berlin: -It's centrally located, within walking distance from most touristic attractions and also a couple of minutes away from a large train station (multiple U-ban and S-ban lines) which makes it very easy to venture further away from the center. -It has large, comfortable and clean rooms which are pleasantly furnished. -Hotel staff and amenities are everything one can hope for, but maybe not more. -Rooms are attractively priced which means great value! -Only thing more I would have liked to have was free internet. Overall great hotel, highly recommended.

Great Hotel, Great Location.
Terrific location virtually opposite the railway station and a short walk from Unter dem Linden and access to all the big tourist sites - we did not need to use public transport except the train (3 Euro) to and from the airport. The hotel itself is terrific value and breakfast is an essential buy as you can fill up with good food virtually till an evening meal. Rooms were large, well furnished and ultra clean. Staff are friendly and efficient. Cannot recommend too highly.
