Maritim Proarte Hotel Berlin

Can't beat the location...halfway between the Brandenburg Tor and the Altes Museum. In the heart of great shopping, near the river and great food. The staff was outstanding. The room was comfortable and cozy. The only thing that was challenging was that the restaurants that the hotel offered on the ground floor were a little pricey, but there were plenty of great options around. I'd recommend this hotel to anyone staying in Berlin.

The good: Very good location, only one mile from Branderburger Gate. Very close to shops and good restaurants. U-bahn and S-bahn stations are around the corner. From the airport you can take the bus (TXL)and it only takes 35 minutes to get to the Unter Den Linden bus stop. This bus stop is just one block from the hotel, and cost only $2.10 Euros per person compare to $35 Euros in taxi. The bad: a/c doesn't work well in the rooms. It seems like the hotel manage the temperature for the whole hotel, the only thing you can change is the airflow. The pillows are very old and you get the idea.

From this hotel were able to walk or take trains to all our destinations in Berlin.The front desk was friendly and helpful; the concierge was efficient. There was only one public computer in the lobby with poor lighting on a glossy keyboard. There were frequent waits to get to use it.

Many sights within easy walk including Museum Island, Checkpoint Charlie, Brandenburg Gate, Topography of Terror. City tour busses leave from just around the corner on Unter den Linden, cost €15 pp. Starbucks, McDonalds, Dunkin Doughnuts ect all between hotel and station. Large supermarket (City Markt) located in station (which is about 100m from hotel). The hotel location can scarcely be bettered as a centre for sightseeing, can walk everywhere. Nice bar in hotel lobby, tho not open till 6. Breakfast expensive, (€23), best look elsewhere. Tram stop very close (if required) plus aforementioned Friedrichstr station for s bahn and regional trains.

We went to Berlin for the Christmas Markets, and this hotel was the best location for all the markets around the area. It is also a good location for seeing checkpoint Charlie, the Brandenburg gate and shopping. The only gripe that we have is that breakfast is not included,and is expensive. You are better off going down to the metro centre which is a 5 minute walk from the hotel. It is also surrounded by shops for you shopaholics out there. The rooms were spotless, and so was all the public areas. They even had a tall real Christmas tree in reception, and it was beautiful. The corridors to the rooms are light but the carpet is very slightly worn in places.

Fantastic 3 day break in the heart of Berlin, hotel situated right in the centre of the city and easy to find from the bus drop off from the airport. The staff were very helpful on book in and helpful information on sorounding places to see, good security as the room card also operates the lift and only allows you onto your floor . 300mtrs to Brandenburg gate, 7oomtrs to the Riechstag. Nice hotel and nice staff.

My wife and I only care about location, safety, and cleanliness when it comes to a hotel. This hotel had the perfect location, it was clean, and seemed very safe/safe location. The minor negatives for me mainly were there is no free internet anywhere that I could find in all of Berlin including the hotel. Also, be prepared to pay a lot of money for any type of local phone call. The city is seriously controlled by their communications companies and robbed by costs.

Wir hatten ein tolles Angebot für dieses Hotel und haben dementsprechend nicht viel bezahlt. Alles war genial: Zimmer, Badezimmer, Frühstück, Lage, usw.

Durch den Neubau der U-Bahn Linie ist der Transport Richtung Süden unter der Friedrichstrasse für die nächsten Jahre blockiert. Das Hotel liegt aber auch nur zwei Gehminuten weg vom S-Bahnhof, wodurch eine optimale Verkehrsanbindung in sämtliche Richtungen in Berlin garantiert ist. Wir würden das Hotel darum jederzeit wieder buchen, auch weil sämtliche Mitarbeiter sehr freundlich und zuvorkommend waren.

Sehr schönes (aber auch sehr großes) Haus in toller Lage in wenigen Gehminuten zum Brandenburgertor. Unmittelbar in der Nähe des Bahnhofes Friedrichstrasse von wo aus vieles öffentlich in kurzer Zeit erreichbar ist. War mit meiner Wahl sehr zufrieden.
