"Great hotel, better location"
The hotel is located at an ubeatable location. If the goal of the trip is to get to see as much of Berlin as possible while staying at a great hotel this is your place. There is Underground stop, a bus stop and a sightseeing bus just a hundred meters on the main street. Close to the zoo, and the area where located is full of restaurants, cafes and high end shops. The TV was not the best, but other than that, you can´t go wrong.

Rude Manager, Too Expensive

Was probably 5 star in 1920's.
Was probably 5 star in 1920's. Rather faded at present. Excellent location. Restaurant very good, and not too pricey.

Unbeatable location,First Class Hotel
The Kempinski is a first class chain and the Berlin hotel on the "Ku'Dum" is no exception. Great restaurants (and fair prices) in and near the hotel. The finishings within the room (very nice art, a luxurious bedspread, room size, draperies, double pane windows-which open) are all first class.

Excellent Hotel
This is a very comfortable hotel in a nice location. It is somewhat removed from the main sites however it is well situated for shopping, strolling and finding quiet restaurants. The rooms were not large but very adequate and clean. Beds and pillows were fantastic!

Point 1. We were recommended to
Point 1. We were recommended to the Kempinski by our travel agent. We were not expecting the Bristol to be a "five star" hotel however,we entered our room and noticed that the roof was leaking directly under the air conditioning duct in the hall way - We managed through one night and the next day advised the reception desk. Nothing was done. After sightseeing all day we came back to the room -ceiling was still leaking and carpet was wet. My husband touched the ceiling panel and water gushed out. Point 2 We travel considerable flight hours from Australia and have been frustrated by the lack of room amenities such as tea/coffee making facilities and iron and ironing board. We travel widely throughout Asia, Australia, New Zealand and the USA and these conveniences are standard in every hotel room. Staff were very friendly. Absence of management.

Superb location and servic for the price
We stayed in a superior room, which had a very nice size and pleasant old style design. Bathroomn was very convenient, clean and also big in size. Good size of a swimming pool but surprisingly small gym, a good sauna and steam bath, common for man and women.
