Hotel Kolumbus

The inviting motto of the ***Hotel Kolumbus is: "Whoever gets here is at home!". After many investments in the entire hotel, it now offers 222 rooms in two categories, various conference rooms and a restaurant. Service is everything, and that's what the Hotel Kolumbus focuses on. The high quality of its services was again confirmed in 2009 by being certified under the DIN EN ISO 9001:2008 standard. The hotel has been participating in the pilot project to obtain level-3 certification under the "Service Qualitt Deutschland" initiative since 2011. The Hotel Kolumbus is quiet and located close to the city centre in the borough of Lichtenberg. Its convenient location in the North-East of Berlin is marked by good transit connections to the city centre, easy accessibility without emissions sticker as well as free parking. The city centre can be reached directly by tram to the Alexanderplatz. The tram stop is just a few minutes' walk from the hotel. The Hohenschnhausen Memorial, the former Stasi (State Security) remand centre, is located in the immediate vicinity of the hotel. The same is true for the Sports Forum Hohenschnhausen with the Olympic Support Centre Berlin. The Hotel Kolumbus is "THE hotel for athletes in Berlin". It's not uncommon, therefore, to run into one or another famous athlete in the lobby. For many years now the hotel has shown its commitment especially to promising young Berlin athletes in many ways as a partner and sponsor. This sports character is also reflected in the constant set-up of new suites with sports themes. Furthermore, the Hotel Kolumbus is a committed vocational training facility and offers trainee positions geared to the circumstances of an athlete's career especially for professional athletes.
