Hotel Berlin, Berlin

Booked the hotel for Easter 2013, so it was very busy. The hotel's location is very good in a safe upmarket area near Nollendorfplatz station which is well linked. Also, the 100 bus stops nearby, which provides a free sightseeing tour up to Alexanderplatz! This is a big bustling hotel though manages to provide a very warm personalised service. We needed a room to be changed and a late check out and staff were helpful and efficient in doing this. Rooms are fairly large and the ones we stayed in were spotless. Bathrooms worked really well, with plenty of hot water. Beds were very comfortable, so plenty of good quality sleep. Pillows are a little soft (as filled with feathers), though folding in half provided enough support. It is worth asking for an inside or room on a higher floor, for less noise. Great coffee shops opposite hotel and near station for breakfast should you choose. Food wise, we came across a wonderful small Italian called Pizzeria Verduna on Einemstrasse near the station. This provided a wide range of superb freshly made pizza and pasta, prepared and served with love by the owner. Some of the best Italian food we have had anywhere, and that includes in Italy! Overall, we had a very comfortable stay in a very good hotel.

I stayed here over Easter and had a fantastic stay. The hotel is perfectly located and within walking distance of Teirgarten and metro stations. The hotel in comfortable and the hotel staff are fantastic, they assit you in any way possible and are very helpful. I would reccomend this hotel and would definatley stay here agin.

Hotel staff are very professional and helpful, and the hotel itself is very clean and smart. Minutes from the U1/ U2 underground and easy to walk to the Berlin Zoo and KaDeWe. Some really good restaurants and steakhaus nearby, as well as a good Backerei where we went for breakfast most days. Easy to navigate from this hotel and we found our way to the Brandenburg gate, Reichstag and Charlottenberg Palace. Would stay here again, without hesitation.

+ Nice hotel. Very friendly and helpful staff. Clean and surprisingly quiet hotel. No noise from neighboring rooms or hallway. Good location for visiting the City and walking distance to great shopping. - The hotel restaurant. It is overpriced and the food is OK but nothing to rave about. The hotel bar was used for a conference and no space was foreseen for the regular customers.

The hotel was massive but the staff were excellent and so were the facilities. Location was close to the U Bahn and close to the centre. Our room was massive and very comfortable. If i went to Berlin again I would definitely stay there again.

The check-in staff were friendly and helpful as were the guest services staff. The room was clean and nicely decorated. We like the location as it was right beside a #100 bus stop and within walking distance of one of the main shopping areas. Many restaurants were within easy walking distance as was the Underground (METRO). But the pillows! I suppose they were feather but even after folding them 4 times they still would not support one's head for sleeping or watching TV. We resorted to also using the comforters for pillow support.

Hotel facilities are rxcellent. Bar food excellent and prices reasonable - breakfast in the restaurant extortionate. There is a fabulous snack bar opposite where we ate breakfast for two for one third of the price for one in the hotel! Bed made every day and towels changed but room was not vacuumed etc. Reception staff extremely knowledgeable and helpful in explaining best markets and public transport. Overall a good experience.

Really good value for the price. Breakfast a bit pricey, but found a nice little cafe down the road and had breakfast there. Staff helpful and within bus ride of Xmas markets and within walking distance for the Malls.
