With over 900 beds we are the largest of all Berlin Hostels and provide a huge range of facilities to add to the safe and clean budget accommodation, including a late night bar with beer garden, restaurant, 24 hour internet, laundry and chill out area. Plus loads of advice on what to do and see in Berlin, including a FREE walking tour and pub crawl. Located only ten minutes by tram from Alexanderplatz only a few stops away from the nightlife districts of Friedrichshain and Prenzlauer Berg, any backpacker and young traveller visiting Berlin need look no further than the Generator Berlin Hostel. The various amenities provided are high speed internet ( chargeable - Euros 0.50 for 15 min., euros 1 for 30 min. and euros 2 for 60 min.), free parking,free wireless internet. Towels included in twins room only and also available for sale. Enjoy a nice breakfast and dinner for a low budget in our restaurant. The Hostel was very good in terms

The Hostel was very good in terms of location and cleanliness. The breakfast buffet served was not so appealing as there was no choice. We reached the Hostel at 12 noon and the Check-In time was 3pm. We were not given the room till 3:15 as the room was not ready and we had to wait at the waiting lounge. This delay in allotting the room resulted in change of the travel plan for the day. The Free Tourist Guide was about to start at 3:15pm and we couldn't make it the same day. I suggest the Hostel should take care of this and avoid delays in this regard. Every thing else is fine :) Thanks,

We can recommend The Generator

We can recommend The Generator Hostel and we will stay there again when we visit Berlin. Located few meters from tram and S-train station. Party more or less every evening so do not visit the Generator if you are looking for a quiet place :-)

The location is excellent and

The location is excellent and just next to a public transportation station. The only drawback is that the wall and the door is thin. You can hear noise from people in the corridor or next doors. Overall, it's a good choice to stay if you plan to do lots of sightseeing.

Redelijke hostel

Het hostel was veder niets mis mee. Maar voor een gezin of langer verblijf is het geen juiste oplossing. Voor een student een mooie oplossing. Het is goedkoop om te overnachten en je kan zo intrekken. Als je vroeg boekt kan je met een grote vrienden groep ook terecht.

a new hostel very close to S-Bahn

a new hostel very close to S-Bahn station. not far from mitte but gonna take a few transits to most places which takes more time than expected. breakfast is very simple but ok. internet is not free except a few useful websites but not expensive. the only bad thing is a lot of people smoke in the internet room.

Très sympa, bien que le sol des

Très sympa, bien que le sol des chambres soit assez crade.. l'hôtel n'est qu'à 20 mn en tram de alexanderplast, ce qui est dérisoire sur le nombre d'heures passés en transport à berlin... personnel très sympa et aux petits soins, nickel!! merciii!

Wie's so ist in einem Hostel...

Wie's so ist in einem Hostel... Leise war's gerade nicht. Die Rezeption war etwas überfordert. Es bildeten sich immer lange Warteschlangen am Counter. Egal zu welcher Tages- oder Nachtzeit.
