great location
less than 5 minutes from train station. rooms older than pictures show with two single beds as a double but overall good. wifi in reception free for 30 minutes per day per room which was good. would definitely recommend this hotel!

Ringing WiFi
Good check in and out, but noticed a ringing noise in the background all the time. When trying to call the front desk with a question I quit after 27 rings and walked down to the desk...still ringing phones! The worst is the WiFi scam! Free 30 minutes from the Cloud each day, but days don't seem to be 24 hour periods??? It's stupid for a hotel not to have free WiFi throughout the facility, maybe they just need the extra money? Evidence the overworked desk staff not answering the phones. Our second trip turns out to be our last.

love traveling
not what I hoped for!
Little things can make all the difference! Location was ok, however everything seemed to be an effort. When we checked in we had not remote for the TV, and no key given to us for the lock up. We had to request both. After first day shower, we discovered that the soap all needed to be refilled, again we had to ask. Staff were not rude, however seemed maybe "too busy". I would not stay there again I don't think.

Reception experience
I had to call several times for soap, also when I needed help to buy a train ticket after a lady had told me I can buy it at the reception desk when I went to get it a male staff member was very RUDE and told me they didn't sell them there, I ask him to speak with the manager and he told me that I couldn't almost screaming at me. This was the worse experience

Touring Europe
The hotel is in a great location, it is close to train station, great for getting around seeing the sights. The hotel workers are very helpful with calling transpiration and arranging tours. Very relaxing atmosphere in lobby, with bar, restaurant, computers with Internet access, and cozy sitting area.

Wonderful location and extremly clean!
The hotel was in a wonderful location. It is right across the street from train station, and walking distance from many wonderful restaurants and shops. The hotel staff was polite and very helpful. If I return to Berlin, I would definitely book this hotel, we loved it!!!!

Staff was friendly and the location
Staff was friendly and the location is great. Quiet rooms although could have been a bit tidier. Really close to the underground and restaurants.

A very centrally located modern
A very centrally located modern hotel, close to public transport and with very nice, light rooms and extremely comfortable beds. Breakfast is wonderful, and staff were very friendly and went out of their way to be helpful. There was work going on in the room above me, with drilling and hammering, but only during regular working hours. Nice lobby with free internet access and books to borrow. Recommended!

Clean, convenient, modern
Close to main metro station at zoo and walking distance from KaDeWe (try the tea section at the top!). Our favorite thing was taking a Segway tour. We also enjoyed the convenience of the metro. YOu can also rent a Segway & electric bike from the hotel. Great restaurant and bar in the Excelsior Hotel were great & you get a 25% guest discount.

Short drive from hotel
Take a full day to bike through Pottsdam and see the museums & gardens... It was incredible! You can take the metro right to Pottsdam and rent bikes at the station.

Very Nice
Very nice hotel. I loved the room, yes they are small, but I thought just perfect for a couple. Very bright and the bed was perfect. I never slept better. We did not have dinner there, but did have wine at the bar. Friendly staff too.
