Citadines Berlin Kurfuerstendamm

Firstly, the location is great! Within comfortable walking distance to trains and a block from the bus line that goes almost anywhere. very EASY trip to/from the airport on bus 109 or 110. Staff is friendly and reasonably accommodating Free umbrellas and totes caddies for use are a fantastic thoughtful amenity (one of the few offered). However, the "concept" of this apart'otel is that its a convertible studio, meaning its a SOFA-BED. No real bed. The sofa-bed was not uncomfortable, but, with a travel companion who measures in at over 6'2", it was impractical. They switched us to a handicapped room which was larger and had a standard bed. otherwise, it was a decent stay at a decent place for a great price. Having a good bakery and grocery across the street is a nice bonus too!

Ideal for short or long stay, rooms are confortable, clean, excellent brakfast, high speed internet are all included. There is a kitchenete in the room, but there are so many restaurants in the area that you would'nt need to cook.

From the minute we entered the hotel we were looked after extremely well - the reception desk was very helpful and very efficient. The room was very clean, spacious and the use of Wi-Fi in the room was perfect. Location, just around the corner from the bus stop, supermarket across the road and eating places within easy walking distance. The hotel made our holiday perfect. Thank you all.

Arrived from a trans Atlantic flight at about 11AM using the 109 bus from TXL. Room was not ready, understandable since checkin is 3PM, but was offered an upgrade that included immediate checkin to a superior room, breakfast and daily housekeeping for 25Euro/day. In retrospect, this was worth the additional money for my 4 day stay as I got a large quiet room facing the inner courtyard. The room was light, airy, and somewhat spartan. The internet worked well enough for me to use Skype to talk to my wife. It had a kitchen with 2 burners, combo microwave / grill, fridge, and dishwasher. There are shops within a block. As my evenings were occupied with business dinners, I did not cook, but I usually do when I have the facilities. The hotel is a block from the K'dam m bus routes and easy bus / train access to all of Berlin. I was able to walk to my meeting at TU Berlin and to the Schillertheatre for the Opera in about 25 minutes. The only down side is the room lighting. The lamps are not as bright as my old eyes seem to need these days.

This is a so called "aparthotel"; you get a kitchen with fridge. This wasn't clear when I booked the place but it turned out to be a positive surprise. I was buying all sorts of foods from a variety of places all the time. Clean, spacious, one block from Berlin's most important avenue. You can't ask for more!

Good value. Supermarket across the street was a bonus.

It is a great, ok size, clean hotel in a great area. Easy access from the Tegel airport (20 to 25 minutes by bus nr 109 gets you right to Olivaer Platz). With the buses from the Olivaer platz and near by U-bahn and S trains it is easy to get to all other places in Berlin. Supermarket right across the street, and with the appliances in kitchen, you could have your meals at hotel. Sofa bed could be a problem. I personally did not like it; instead placed the mattress on the floor to get better sleep at nights. Also, no towels will be replaced during your stay unless you pay extra (10 euros), neither trash picked up during your stay. So if, you stay longer than 3 or 4 days, you need to arrange trash out yourself from the room, and wash towels in the hotel basement (coin operated machines).

This is the second time I have stayed at this hotel, and it remains excellent -- in my opinion. The staff were very friendly, spoke excellent English, and were always helpful with my questions. Citadines offers all the convenience of an apartment, yet with the added amenities of a hotel with personalized service. It doesn't get any better than this. I also appreciated having free internet in the room as well as A/C; this was a historic heat-wave for Berlin, and most places are NOT air-conditioned!

Couldn't have found a better apartment at this price for two in Berlin. Small, but bright and airy, well set out with kitchenette and bathroom as well as bedsitter with desk/dining table. Free internet, coin laundry in basement, option of breakfast downstairs. Even made use of the doctor and physiotherapist across the street Close to KUDAM, transport, mini market across road. Staff spoke good English and were very helpful.
