Worst Hotel Ever
Located near the airport, train station is about 15 minute walk. Telephone in room didn't work. In-room wifi didn't work, despite being 10+ Euros/day. Breakfast wasn't very good. Dinner at restaurant was below average. [...] I'm usually not very picky when it comes to hotels, but this was without a doubt the worst experience I've ever had staying/dealing with a hotel anywhere in the world. Holiday Inn Schoenefeld located near here is a much better option, with great service, and they also provide a free shuttle to/from the rain station and the airport.

It is incredible that 4-star hotel does not have air conditioning and free WLAN. Also parking is 5€/day (25€/week)

Good location - just 10 minutes
Good location - just 10 minutes of walk from airport an good public transport (30 minutes by railway to city centre). Breakfast (for money) was expected to be better. Double room was too small for this 4 star level.

Hotel Albergo Berlin
Very nice hotel, definitely deserving of its Orbitz four-star rating. The staff was excellent, and all spoke English. It is very convenient to Schonefeld airport, where we landed, but is not real good as a base to see Berlin from, as it is about a 25 minute train ride to the city center, and evening activities have to be coordinated with the train schedule, which meant for my children an earlier return than they would have liked. (A taxi would have been about $50.)
