Stayed several nights 4-18 September 2012. Great staff and facilities. Only very minor downside is a 5-7 minute taxi ride to get to Old Tbilisi. If the weather is OK, you can walk the distance. Lots of new roads and buildings, and plenty of
restaurants near by. Food at the hotel was great, especially breakfast. Price of room included breakfast and our several day stay was overall wonderful - service similar to our stays at other 4-5 star hotels in Tbilisi. Was with a group of seven and everyone was pleased with the hotel, especially the staff. We will continue to use this hotel in the future as our first choice when in Tbilisi.
Hotel features (5 = best, 1 = worst):
Short drive from hotel
Best price for a 4 star hotel in Tbilisi. The hotel is about 2 miles north of Old Tbilisi. Not much in the way of shopping but lots in the way of culture, history. People are really friendly. Taxis are plentiful but confirm the price before you get in...the hotel can and will assist. If the weather cooperates, it's a pleasant walk but make sure you have a street map and talk wiht the hotel staff - lots of construction so you may have to take "alternate" streets. Safety/security - Tbilisi is rated the safest city in Europe...but be a smart traveler and don't do anything you wouldn't do in New York, Los Angeles, or Miami.
The hotel is a refurbishing of an existing facility. But it is done nicely. Breakfast was too pricy for what was available.
Access to the Metro was great just across the street. There was no concierge service which was inconvenient. All of the
hotel people were very friendly. I wouldn't mind staying there again. However, I did not find anything in Georgia that would cause me to return.
