The hotel is located on a hill overlooking the airport and ocean. Modern decor with WIFI and free breakfast, ask for room closer to lobby area for better WIFI reception. Reasonably priced, walking distance to airport terminal-about 10 minute walk or short cab ride if you have lots of luggage.

Good for long layover
This was a very convenient motel right next to the airport, it was clean, air conditioned and affordable. Staff very nice. We stayed one night after 20 hours or more of travel, and our final destination was not Papeete, so it was nice to rest for our 14 hour layover

Ok For a 1 Night Stay
Even though you can see this hotel from the airport I would still recommend taking a taxi there. You will be dripping sweat walking up a hill with all your luggage. AC barely works.

Perfect location
We needed to overnight in Papeete before catching an early morning flight to an outer island. The location of this motel is perfect. We walked from the airport lobby to the motel (a few hundred yards). They had a small breakfast in the morning. The room was clean and fine.

Perfect for the purpose
Tahiti Airport Motel gives you what you need, a clean, efficient room to spend a night between flights. The fact that you receive a European breakfast and get to watch the sun rise over the airport and illuminate Moorea felt like bonus. The motel is a 5 min walk with bags from the airport directly up the hill facing the airport. Note: No elevator available in motel.

Our stay here in 2009
Our time here was short, about 4-5hrs. as we were just waiting for our flight back to the US. We spent those hours just resting up. We had just come from Bora Bora, where we got a good night's sleep. So we didnt need to use much in the room. It served it's purpose well. If you are visiting Tahiti, I wouldn't recommend using this motel as a base, unless you need to spend time in Papeete. Go see Moorea and Bora Bora, and splurge on a nice overwater bungalow. It's Amazing! Not cheap, but if you ever come here, don't cheap out. This is a place not everyone will ever see. We were here in '09. It wouldn't let me post earlier than 2010.

Short drive from hotel
This motel is decent, comfortable, and close to the airport, which is why we spent a short time 4 to 5hrs. We just need to rest up for our flight home to the USA. I can't say about Shopping, Food or Attractions, but it is near the airport so I'm sure there many places to enjoy.

Convenient
We could walk from the airport, even though there are about 20 steps to climb and a hundred yards uphill. The room was comfortable and a good value (breakfast included, free wifi).

Great staff and locaton
No pool and no beach. Wish they had some place to lounge in the sun. But, a very friendly staff and you can walk to the airport. It is a short walk and down hill. Some steps make liuggage a problem, but solveable. I would stay there again the last day prior to leaving for a late evening plane.

OK for overnight
Just a short way from the airport, walking distance, but up several flights of steps and a steep driveway. No elevator. Yes there is a coffee/tea maker in the room but no coffee is provided. Some of the front desk staff were helpful, others were rude. No leeway on check-in time. I would recommend to able-bodied friends but only for an overnight stay near the airport.

Convenienient location in spades
It is a bit of a hassle getting your stuff up the hill, if you are walking, but the accommodations are ok and the place is clean. No bargain, but the room is clean and if you get a room on the east side the view is awesome. The A/C is barely adequate, and they keep it off till you get in the room, so you broil when you arrive in the PM. A/C never got the temp below about 75 degrees, but that was acceptable. I do not want to bag on the place too much as the rooms are clean, the showers are fine, and the beds are adequate. Take the bus from town rather than a cab and save a bundle. Bus is about $1.50

Restaurant Ocean has awesome Chineese food at very reasonable prices. ONE dish is adequate for two people approx 1500 XPF plus a side of plain rice 300 XPF. For about $20 US two can eat
