InterContinental Moorea Resort & Spa is nestled between mountains and a lagoon on a stunning French Polynesian island. Our accommodations include 144 stunning deluxe rooms and bungalows. Two restaurants feature French, Tahitian and international cuisine, and the bar serves up refreshing tropical cocktails. InterContinental Moorea Resort & Spa offers Moorea's widest range of activities, including the Moorea Dolphin Centre, Bathys Diving Club, Hélène's Spa, tennis, kayaking, canoeing, water skiing and guided Jeep tours. We are proud to announce the completion of a multimillion dollar renovation, which added private plunge pools to each of the 17 garden bungalows, the extension of the terraces of all beach and overwater bungalows, and a new infinity pool featuring a swim-up bar. Set within 27 acres of lush gardens, the resort provides a magnificent setting for a memorable South Seas vacation.

We had a wonderful time, in large part to the assistance of the staff and hotel amenities. Everyone we met was very friendly and looked to our requests. The hotel was the furthest from the airport, but seemed the best located for any excursions.
We spent one afternoon on a neighboring island, half a day on an ATV tour and also took in a Tiki dinner. All was booked and charged through the hotel, making payments and reservations easy. The best part is a local market across the street that you can grab breakfast, lunch, and drinks from that saves a ton of money on food. Quick note that the overwater bungalow is not truly an overwater bungalow, more of a deck that goes over the water. There are a couple premium overwater bungalows, which are different than the overwater bungalows (just a deck over the water).

Short walk from hotel
Across the street is a wonderful market where you can eat that will save big compared to the costs of the food at the resort. If you want to splurge then eat at the resort, food is good, but expensive.

Super place to get away.
The Intercontinental Hotel on Moorea in French Polynesia is everything you are looking for in an exotic get away. The location is best described as perfect, the staff is friendly and helpful and the facilities are world class. It was the
rainy season, but while that can mean lots of rain, for us it was a few hours of rain in otherwise perfect weather for 10 days. They have a dive center on site where one can learn to dive, get certified or just enjoy the local diving with a great team of divers and instructors. Water sports and option on, in and around the water include everything you can imagine from breakfast delivered to your room by outrigger to snorkeling, dolphin center and to hanging around the pool. Skip Tahiti and go straight to Moorea, you will be glad you did.
