Very convenient location

We thought that this was a real bargain at the price we paid. The room was good and even had tea making facilities. We had breakfast at the hotel which was a little expensive and there was little help from the staff guiding us in the right direction. There should have been someone asking if we wanted tea or coffee. We had to find where the tea was and the water for the tea was in a flask which was empty. The location was very good being so close to The Palace of Versailles. However we didn't manage to visit the Palace as the queues were so long. We had never seen so many people. We had hoped to visit the Palace in the morning before continuing to Calais. This was impossible. We should have stayed for two nights and then we could have visited the Palace when the crowds had gone.

Great location/comfortable beds

I have stayed here many times and always been happy with quality and service. The quality and comfort of the bed for me is a stand out. To make any criticism would be picky but the bathroom shower head would not stay up so made showering difficult. Also the night time service in the bar was very poor, no one in attendance. The advertised Hamman and sauna is not really practical/functional as you need to switch on and wait for 30 mins to get up to temperature.

Three night stay for two

Booked this fairly last minute and so were very pleased as bargain price for lovely hotel in central location. Perfect for visiting versailles palace and as we were so close we could take a walk in the palace gardens at any time. Had basic room with balcony which we sat put on. Fridge in room was useful. Large bathroom and very comfy bed. Much better than staying in Paris so travelled in by train .

Middle aged Couple

More of a commercial hotel for business people. Far too expencive for the offer. Saving grace is its location near the palace but pretty average and quite forgettable experience after that

Sightseeing tip: Short walk from hotel

The gardens of the palace are its jewel. The rest of the building whilst steeped in history is quite the most vulgar edifice it has been my misfortune to have visited.

Let Down

We were looking forward to a couple of days' luxury after camping by the Med for a week. I had read good reviews about this place and its location is certainly as good as it gets for visiting the palace and grounds at Versailles, so this seemed to be the ideal choice. The only really negative review I found was that the a/c was not working: now I'm experienced enough to know that stuff happens and the hotel cannot always be in 100% working order, but guess what? Both our two rooms had broken a/c - in one of them even the fan part was obviously jammed. This cannot be coincidence / bad luck and the hotel must be booking people into rooms where they know the a/c is not working. The room was changed when we complained the next morning, but even that was not as smooth an experience as it should have been. It's a nice hotel in a nice area, so my advice would be to check the a/c on arrival and insist on a replacement room if it is not working. Other than that it was a comfortable hotel, with good service and the breakfast was very good. Tea and coffee in the room were provided, but with paper cups. The bathrooms were well appointed but small and with poor standard repairs obvious. A pattern emerges of a hotel needing an overhall and also needing more attention to detail in some areas to justify its high rating.

Nice but dissapointing

A nice hotel but not as good as we had expected. We had no air conditioning for the whole 3 night trip. This meant windows left open overnight and kept awake by traffic noise. On the plus side staff were very curtious, beds very comfortable and in a very central location.

Great location and service

A wonderful hotel, very centrally located to see the Chateau de Versailles and the town of Versailles itself. The service was excellent and the staff were very helpful and courteous. The hotel's elegant and quaint exterior is in sharp contrast to its sleek interior and modern rooms. My only complaint was about the fitness center which was small, and had a lone weight machine which was broken. A modern business hotel deserves a better fitness center. All in all, a very nice hotel that is a good value.

Shopping tip: Short walk from hotel

The center of town is very close to the hotel. It is well worth a stroll to see the market where the locals buy fresh fruits and vegetables and meats. On Sundays, the central area is used as a farmer's market.
