Quality Hotel Toulouse Centre

Despite being included in the 3 star category in several US internet sites, this is a two star hotel (based mainly b/c of its elevator access) but should definitely be considered a one star hotel. First, their own website homepage is very misleading. The historic building shown is of course of the city centre and town hall. This hotel is out of the way behind an alley with no trace of any historical or other charm. The only large space was its main floor lobby which is not at all the same as their photograph. (No sign of black contemporary furniture anywhere). From there, the hotel takes on the look and feel of the dirtiest of hostels that has not been cleaned nor updated since the early 80s. Only one person and a suitcase will fit in the so called elevator. Past the narrow hallways with threadbare carpeting, we entered our double - the room's size was 1.5 feet wider from the perimeter of the double bed. There was indeed a coffee maker but with 2 cups covered in dust and 2 teaspoons that were gelled together by remnants of someone's coffee and sugar. The walls were covered in various stains - some in blood of insects that had been smashed against the wall. The window and the bathroom tub (walls covered in a linoleum adhesive that was peeling back showing glue and mold) were outlined in black mold, dirt and dead insects. This hotel should be avoided at all cost.
