We were willing to stay far away from the center of Bordeaux for a special chateau experience - unique, romantic, beautiful and special, but in the end our experience was average at best. Also, the location was't good at all. It wasn't only far
from Bordeaux but in the middle of a university village with nothing around and not very nice at all.
The property is average looking, the grounds unspectacular and the service isn't special either. The staff wasn't very helpful or knowledgable.
At least the room was decent, clean and of good size, especially relative to other European hotels.
I'll at least give them good value for the price we paid.
