Nice location but staff not friendly
We stayed this hotel because it was closer to the promenade. When we booked, the description had said free breakfast, but the lady at the front desk was extremely rude to us and denied us the free breakfast. The hotel staff keep changing and one of the guys during the night shift was impolite. If you know, you are a tourist and a first time visitor they rip you off. So, be careful. We needed to get to the Airport in the morning. The night shift guy at the front desk said they was no public transportation at 7 AM and had us book a taxi. We find out next day morning that he had lied about public transportation and ripped us off by booking a limo service and not a regular taxi. Hence, I recommend this hotel, if you are good at french.

Not your first choice
Unbeknownst to us ahead of time, it was Grand Prix and film festival time, so we were lucky to get any hotel. This one is in an un-inspiring neighborhood and the hotel is seedy looking. Has a good parking lot, but if you don't have a car you will need to take a bus into Cannes. We did have the only CNN we'd had anywhere in France, including Paris. (Other travelers we met had the same complaint. It seems to be a current budget-saving measure. They all tell you it's "not working". No BBC either. In other words, no English tv). And free in-room WIFI, also not readily available elsewhere. The Galleries Lafayette has a huge gourmet grocery section with all of that great French takeout food, only a couple of blocks away. This hotel is not in the beautiful part of the Cote d'Azure, and there didn't appear to be any nice restaurants nearby. Just a suburban neighborhood. If possible, stay in Cannes itself.

Pleasant stay, respectful service
Walking distance from several key locations: the train station (easy for a day trip to Cannes, Nice, Monte Carlo); the beach (pleasant, lots of decent restaurants along the promenade); Cap 3000 (a super-mall, the largest in the district, where you can find anything, even the latest in graphic novels). The hotel was clean, simple, and had good service. Very close to the airport by taxi (about five or ten minutes, which unfortunately came to nearly 20 euros). Really no complaints. A very solid hotel within its category.
