Overview

Villa Beaumarchais incorporates the aristocratic identity of the Marais district into its décor. After all, the 50-room property is next to Place des Vosges, the oldest planned squared in the City of Light and the former royal hunting pavilion. A winter garden in the center of the hotel hosts a daily breakfast buffet, a welcome convenience before guests head out to explore nearby attractions like the Picasso Museum. Rooms denote regal luxury, with red and gold linens and gilded furniture.

Location

The position of Villa Beaumarchais next to Place des Vosges, Paris' oldest planned square, beckons guests to explore the city. The Marais district, with roots to Paris aristocrats, lends itself to picturesque walks along streets dotted with cafes, nightclubs, shops and cabarets.

Villa Beaumarchais is also within walking distance to the Picasso Museum housed in Hôtel Salé, where visitors can admire thousands of sketches, paintings and ceramics by the bespoke artist.

Dining

A glass roof allows light to stream into the winter garden, where a breakfast buffet is served every day.

Rooms

Villa Beaumarchais guests will feel like royalty in rooms that echo the grandeur of Paris. Regal red or gold linens accentuate stately crested headboards and gilded stools and armchairs. Great location. Good, attentive and friendly staff. Our room were a little run down but clean comfortable bedding. The overall place is charming and a very French/European feel.Breakfast was a bit expensive but it was varied and fresh.

Great value, shabby chic, great location, just a short walk to the metro station -- downside: no drawers in the room, only a place to hang clothes with one shelf underneath

Hidden Gem

Would recommend Mon, Dec 29, 2014
We stayed at the Villa Beaumarchais for 3 nights. The Hotel is conveniently located, just a short block away from a major street, yet our room was very quiet. The staff was very helpful and friendly. The room was extremely comfortable with a great King sized bed and blackout curtains, and it was very reasonable. I would definitely stay there again.

Beautiful rooms and elegant hotel

Would recommend Mon, Sep 29, 2014
Great location near Bastille, the rooms are very cosy and decorated beautifully. The atrium area was lovely to sit and work in. The room was a little small, which is the only reason I'm not giving 5*.

Nightlife hint

Walk up to Place de Bastille for nightlife and restaurants. It's about 10 minutes away.

The only thing with the hotel room was the leak from the bathroom to one side of bed. Other than that, we are happy to come back

A great surprise!

Would recommend Thu, Jul 11, 2013
I just came back from a short trip to Paris with a very strict schedule - No time to waste. Started my trip very early in the morning to catch up a train from Geneva to Paris in very hot summers day. Arriving early than expected the room was not ready but I took the chance to go for a walk and have lunch in the heart of the city. I was in need of a shower and a change of clothes before heading for an important business meeting. The surprise was to find out that I was upgraded to a lovely suite with an office, a Jacuzzi a and a window with a view. A large room in Paris is difficult to find, and much more in this beautiful corner. Their team was very pleasant and helpful and the facilities were very comfortable. I will be back, next time to really enjoy the location. It was a hectic business trip but with the attention and luxury, that night sleep will be in my memory for some time. Thank you... it was a great surprise!

Staff and location was the best thing about the hotel. Walking distance to everything and helpful staff. Big surprise was the size of the bathroom. Drawback was the key system. Water smelled a little. Overall good experience!

Paris - First Visit

Would recommend Sun, Jun 9, 2013
First time in Paris. Having been to other European cities, I expected a tiny room with a tiny bathroom. I was pleasantly surprised! Nice room with a spacious bathroom. Pros: Friendly and attentive staff, comfortable, fairly clean, safe neighborhood, walkable to sites, metro, shops, and eateries. Cons: Carpet could use a cleaning, no card access system, actual key on a tassel, bathroom ventilation
