Versailles Hotel

good breakfast, small bedroom, big bathroom, tiny elevator barely big enough for 1 person + luggage, internet would not work, 10 min walk from metro

The hotel is located at the southwest edge of Paris. To get there from the CDG airport, take the RER B south and transition to metro line 12 towards Marie d'Issy via the 4 at Gare du nord or Chalet Les halles or Denfert Rochereau stops. To get there from Orly airport, take the orlybus from the airport to Denfert Rochereau and transition to the metro line 12 towards Marie d'Issy via the 4 at Denfert Rochereau. Exit at Convention and head towards Lecourbe. Go south until Rue de la Croix Nivert and make a left. Hotel will be on the left. Port of Versailles exit is ok as well. Just head towards Rue de VAUGIRARD and head north till Rue de la Criox Nivert and take that up to the hotel on the right. Check in@ front desk and get the key. Take the elevator or the stairs to the room. Elevator will fit one or two pieces of luggage and a small person. Stairs is narrow and spirals upwards for each floor. When the room is reached, use the archaic key to unlock the door and enter the room. The room we had housed two twin beds pushed together to make a double bed and a separate twin on the other side of the room. There was a small desk, one armed chair, and two stools. The closet was shallow with two shelves on the right side and an open area on the left. Bathroom was decent. AC did not work but the windows open. Room was decent for the price but in the US, it's a two star hotel. Breakfast was eggs that you cook yourself in a water boiler, cereal, cheese, croissant, bread, OJ and grapefruit juice, yogurt, coffee or tea and ham. Staff was great though! Very helpful and friendly!
